Hornet sting does not cause culling
The only way we have access to land based blind is through Ravens or Runes of the Flock. I’m sorry, but if what people are saying in that thread is true, then there’s something fishy.
Rangers have no blind skills on their weapons, utilities or elites. I highly doubt you’d be able to keep blinds up for any extended period of time unless you specifically ran dual Ravens and got lucky summoning birds with the Rune.
EDIT: There’s also the Siamoth’s “tufts of hair/feathers” but honestly, its way less efficient than just running dual Ravens.

Spirits need more love.
These guys lost to all the stealth and blinds rangers have. I’m sorry you other classes don’t know what skills we have access to. You were simply blinded and punished for not having condition removal.
How’s it feel to learn that rangers can be a powerful class when properly played? I won’t explain to you how this is done so our rangers have a chance to keep doing it to other classes. Muahhaa
It seems many Rangers don’t know what skills we have either, as you said we have many ways to stealth and blind. When we are played well we are a very deadly class, we have many way to blind and stealth, many rangers just don’t seem to have a clue about them because they are not staring you in the face.
That said, all rangers should have access to the white raven.

You guys do know that all Blind does in WvW is make the next attack miss, right? It doesn’t actually make the character who uses Blind disappear from sight.
Only “Stealth” and “Invisibility” effects make you disappear from sight of other players. The “Blind” effect simply makes attacks whiff, but you can still see the other player.

Hence why we said stealth and blind and not, stealth…

Blind also makes you lose your current target. So if you’re not paying attention, you can think they went invisible when in actuality, the game just forced you to reacquire a target.
Also, I’m sorry C7 but we don’t have “many ways to stealth and blind”. “Many” would be Thieves and Guardians. On land, we have Raven F2 (18s), Siamoth F2 (40s w/ only a 2/3 chance of giving a blind/stealth), Sun Spirit (25s non targetted on a utility that nobody uses) and Hide in Plain Sight (30s, triggered by getting hit with CC). Granted, in the water, we have more reliable methods. Jellyfish smoke field and Ink Blast are both very reliable and can leave people without a target quite easily.
I can see someone running dual Ravens + Runes of the Flock or Runes of Infiltration + HiPS confusing someone a bit but to say we have “many” reliable methods of stealth and blind is a lie.

When you lose your target it is due to an ‘Interupt’ or the target went invisible. When you are ‘Blind’ you simply miss your target when you attack.

I’ve been blinded many times on many characters and I’ve never lost my target.
