After the latest patch many people asking how to transmute Legendary from Ranger to another character.
It is still possible! (tested by myself on Oct 10, Incinerator)

What you gonna need:
- Legendary
- Transmutation Crystal (40 gems)
- Transmutation Splitter (300 gems)
- a bit of silver (not ore)

1. Log into your Ranger, grab Transmutation Stone from your bank
2. Go to Western Ward Waypoint in LA, then head to karma vendor SW from it.
3. Buy corresponding white weapon from Weaponsmith vendor
4. Use Transmutation Crystal and combine your Legendary and that white weapon. IMPORTANT: pick Legendary appearance, white trash weapon stats and keep sigil from your Legendary if you need it
Result: you have Account Bound weapon purple quality with trash stats and sigil
5. Place that account bound purple weapon to your bank
6. Log onto another character
7. Pick transmuted purple weapon and Transmutation Splitter from your bank
8. Use Splitter on that purple weapon.

Result:
- Original Legendary soulbound to different character
- Trash white weapon (r-click and destroy it)
- Sigil (you can out it into legendary if you want it or you can sell it and buy a new one)

It works, I’ve used it to transfer around legendaries but it’s not cheap (300 gems / splitter)

I did it myself on Oct 10. It was before the last patch but i highly doubt they changed anything about it. I submitted a ticket about this gimmick awhile ago and got a “working as intended” answer from support team.

Yes it is expensive but its nothing compared to cost of legendary itself
Just saying that if you have legendaries soulbound to ranger and they are holding you back – don’t you worry! Just move em and enjoy the game!

Might aswell mute my Kudzu and Howler from my ranger to my warrior. Too bad after investing thousands of gold on my ranger hoping that it’d be useful someday.

I would personally move to a warrior, but the animations just feel awful compared to the ranger. Many of the warrior skills lack proper telegraphing and follow through when attacking… Might just be because I have done a number of real life sword classes for sport (namely kendo and fencing) =/

Other than animation aesthetics (which is my personal opinion); the warrior makes the ranger look silly in terms of ability and I hope no one is playing the ranger other than for aesthetics.

I’d like to request the unbinding of my frostfang and rodgort from my ranger so I can sell it on the TP~

Are you saying that if I transmute a soulbound legendary from one character that when I split it, it becomes soulbound to the new character? Sorry just looking for clarity.

Transmute soulbound legendary into an white weapon.
Split white with legendary skin in another toon to receive back an soulbound legendary in that toon.

That is also used in the thief hood in other classes, pretty much the same mechanic.

so uh… i have kudzu. and i dont think i want to be a long bow warrior if only i made frostfang q.q

Cool thanks. They really should just be account bound but this is better than nothing I suppose

If somebody didn’t know yet:
With this trick you can also mix vigil, order and priory armor at one single char.

but, not racial armor (for those who want to try)
