How is a spirit ranger in WvW?

I’m going to assume this is from a zerg perspective. Spirit rangers provide good support of course in small groups situations.
1. Decent I guess, capable of providing prot to a bunch of people. The best support aspect though is probably from the active effects whether it is immobilize, blind, or chill.
2. Sometimes. I find it is kind of luck based. Sometimes none of my spirits will die on a push, sometimes all of them will, and then sometimes only 1 will die…If you have spirits precast though, you can probably recast again after start of fight if it goes on for a long time.
3. Fun. Pretended I was Goku and spirit bombing kitten with active effects.

I don’t think Wolfy can read because he failed to answer the question. Full spirit ranger>Gaurdian support wise for small scale too btw.
In zergs spirit rangers are good and bad. In zergs they will die quickly unless you hug the outside and even then they’re easy targets. Another thing is they can get boons from shouts. So if you lack stability (which you will with spirits) you will be competing with your spirits to get that stability from the guardian. They may also steal stability from other players, so that’s a big negative.
If you are going to run spirits in wvw I would suggest keeping it to roaming solo or with a small team (3-5).
It is not what you do, but how and why you do it that counts.
