Don’t really play a ranger myself but looking at all the buffs a pet can get, what was the highest crit your pet critted for?

And list of all the skills and trait that would buff a pet assuming pet already has 25 might stacks and quickness and enemy has 25 stacks of vulnerability (and if you want to be in this situation, join my CoF p1 farm group):

-Each point invested in Beast Mastery increases all of a pet’s primary attributes by +10.

-Pet’s Prowess: Pet do 30% more damage on critical hits. — equivalent to +30% Critical Damage

-Master’s Bond: Your pet has a bond with you that increases its attributes each time you kill a foe. When it is defeated or deactivated, the bond is reset. — increases all of a pet’s primary attributes by +10% of pet’s level per enemy killed (max bonus: +200) resets on down.

-Signet of the Hunt: Active: On activating the signet, your pet receives Attack of Opportunity, which increases the damage of its next attack by 50%. This effect lasts for 16 minutes and 40 seconds.

-Signet of the Wild: Active: Your pet grows larger, dealing more damage and gaining stability. (+25% dmg)

-Hilt Bash: Your pet’s next attack does 50% more damage.

-Moment of Clarity: On interrupt you and your pet receive Attack of Opportunity, which increases the damage of your next attack by 150%.

-Frost Spirit: Frost Spirit (6s): 35% chance to grant 10% bonus damage on hit.

-Spotter: Increases precision of nearby allies by up to 70 points.

“Sick ’Em” – 40% increased pet damage for 10 seconds would probably be beneficial for high pet damage.

Now, we need to know which of them stack together and which don’t.

Moment of Clarity, Signet of the Hunt, and Hilt Bash do not stack.

Also Master’s Bond grants +10 attribute points per stack (Max: 25 stacks) = + 250 to each primary stat (eg: power or toughness)

Some notes about Frost Spirit, for this it doesn’t take up a utility slot since another player can use it. No, having 500 rangers near you using it won’t work. Since a spirit applies a buff to everyone in range that applies its spirit effect at a random chance.

However, this does mean for the absolute highest crit we need stuff like the Warrior’s banners, might stacks… etc.

Speaking of might stacks, the one handed sword can maintain 9 and has “power spikes” of 12 stacks.

As far as powerful pet skills go, I think the best has to be the Canine’s leap attacks, specifically Brutal Charge. I suppose there’s also the cat’s bite.

Hope I have been of some help.

Master’s Bond grants 10% of your current level per stack, so at level 80 that would be 8×25 = 200 points/attribute.

So which of you rangers wanna join my CoF p1 farm team to test pet damage.

With my team:

Your pet will get 25 might
Enemy will get 25 vuln.
Your pet will get banner buffs
Your pet will get +70 power buff from Empower ally

Rest is up 2 u.

No it won’t. AoE buffs apply to party members before npcs/companions. Most party buffs have an AoE cap of 5 allies.

With boon sharing trait + RaO, a pet can hit 25 might in no time from just the Ranger, but some setup time is still involved.

So given all these buffs, how much damage can say Jaguar’s F2 do against a normal mob? I would guess around 10k or am I way off?

Assuming ideal circumstances, 10k is probably on the low end. I’ve had my Jag hit for 9k before with minimal buffs up(~15 stack of might, hardly any vuln stacks).

You guys left out Bountiful Hunter (+5% with a boon).

The answer to the original question is a number higher than what you see in the panels below, the panels show numbers received solo with most of the above mentioned traits and skills, and 25 stacks of Vulnerability, but without Masters Bond, without Sick ’Em, and with only 13 stacks of Might.

I really wish that 6374 would have crit.

Best I’ve seen was about 10k from a raven F2 when it was fully stacked with might, but it’s possible to get higher with the right stacking of things like sig of the hunt and hilt bash.
