Guild Wars 2

I am leveling my ranger (he is level 48 right now) and I am quite enjoying going into the beast master traits and putting in toughness and vitality into my armor to increase my survivability and getting some power in from my weapons and accessories. What I am asking is, will I be helpful in endgame dungeons or events etc (DPS or otherwise) to my team or Is it better to just go in the marksmanship trait line and get lots of power and precision?

Maybe if you could link some builds as well would be great!

As a new Ranger myself I will have to speak up on this. The direction he gave you there is a good one, it is not a great one. Just taking a quick peek in there I notice the most recent post is 2+ months old. There have been game changes in that time. I really hope someone can help this guy out with more current information then, go to a page that hasn’t been updated in 2+ month’s. I am interested in responses from players on how to build your ranger for the different aspects of this game, and how to build it with the most current patch in mind. What gear to be going for, where to get it. What builds to be going for. What piece of gear gets the most stat. Trait Synergy, and anything else that could help.

As the guy maintaining it, I’m saying you should take another look It’s actually pretty updated. And what do you mean most recent post is 2 months old? I just added a guide 2 days ago o_O

Oh, yeah I see what you mean. Don’t worry about it, just post your questions, lots of people will reply

Once you sift through the turds, the ranger community is quite helpful. just learn to wade through the garbage and " i got beat so Rangers suck" threads and dig out the useful information.

also if youre looking for a fun seat of the pants build, check out my Re-Port331 and 331R . it will make you feel like a super star and thieves can no longer pick on you!

I would like to try the Huge crit build, but the investment is so massive. It takes me a week to get enough gold to buy the runes and weapons to try all these new builds. I am liking my condi build for dungeons but guild likes to do small number Wvw and I would like to be crit nuking people in the back row. Seems like that might be entertaining. What do you think I should go for stats runes ect?
