How to fix the Soulbeast Aura
The massive aura plus leaves and all that crap should last for 10 seconds or so, after that diminish the thing and leave just the aura like when used SotP but softer
Change the aura color depending of the archetype would be also helpful and cool.

Yeah I really like the subtle falling leaves effect but the rest is just too much! Mega fart cloud and fart trail! They should indeed disappear gradually after a few seconds
And yeah like the herald facet icons, light up the active archetype (and some subtle pulsing glow on the icon itself)
Yes, please! kudos to the graphic designers, but there’s enough aura pollution in the game as it is, something subtle would be nice.
I think it should go after 2s. Imagine this thing continually farting every time you want to swap in and out every 10s, I really wish we could turn it off client side.

yesterday i couldn’t see the auras from other Sbeasts in wvw when merged. I think they are only visible to us… Although i can be wrong here.
I don’t like ground sigils as all.
Just tone down the animations a lot.
It looks horrid, the aura is way too much.
Suggestion …
Get rid of the circling twisty thorn animation (too much polution).
Green aura and leaf petals animation tone down by roughly 20%-40% in size and speed.
I like the ground aura idea. However, that’s largely because of how much I dislike the current aura.
Just remove the aura completely, forcing this aura on me massively restricts anything I want to do visually with my characters, I should be able to theme them as I want and not be forced into themes that have to incorporate this green aura. Revenant was the first to introduce this PROBLEM, and it seriously kneecapped my revenant design, please do not do this again, I want total freedom for my fashion wars.

I don’t even understand why it’s there to begin with you already have a very easely noticable buff on your bar to indicate you’re in beastmode (bright blue).
At this point all it does is make me not want to play soulbeast.

I actually really like ProtoMarcus’s design. The perfect circles I feel don’t match ranger’s aesthetics, but I can get on board with the whole ground sigils thing. Gotta agree though, the persistent fart is a bit much.
I really like the current animations please don’t change a thing it’s a super nice aesthetic and one of the main reasons i love the soulbeast, plus it’s a good visual indicator to the enemy that the ranger has merged with his pet.

The effect is reduced on other player soulbeasts and there’s the archetype icon on the player too to tell he’s merged
Playing Soulbeast for long periods of time, the fart cloud gets annoying real fast. They just need to tone it down a little
All they really need to do is turn down the nature magic cloud a bit, I find it to be nice otherwise.

I would be happy if they leave thous leafs and roots around ranger, but remove that green gas effect.

Except that beastmode is not a form, your weapon skills do not change and you can stay in this mode indefinitely.
Please do anything, this annoying permanent aura is the reason I don’t want to play Soulbeast.
They won’t put more work into it, chances are they will just remove it all together and ranger will be left with no interesting animations..

I don’t like the Falling Leaves effect – We’re Soulbeast, not SoulTree. A faint green glow might work – but honestly, I hate the green aura and bladetrails that came with this Espec, because they put Ranger in the same Fashion Wars dumpster as Guardian and Mesmer in having to coordinate around the colors of our effects.
I wish we had a “Spirit animal” effect matching our species we merged with on our arms and head (And possibly tail)

No animation at all would be far, FAR better than the current one.
I wish the aura looked like Unflinching Fortitude. That is suuuuuch a more elegant design. Overall, I kinda like it, but I agree that it is a bit much and I especially think the falling leaves look extremely cheesy. I feel like I’m a WoW resto druid.

Neither does Berserker, but they light up like a christmas tree. If the Beast aura was Red, I bet most people couldn’t tell it from a Berserker or Rampage at a glance
As been proposed above yeah seriously the green aura need to go or just make it 5-10s max. Reason? My armor/outfit. Why would i buy armor skins or outfit from Gem Store and color it if turn to green! I’m sure not all rangers prefer green themes for their skins. Mine is black. It became Green!!
not a fan of auras or sigils either , some rangers are going to leave beastmode , change pet , enter again even if the aura lasts 5s is going to be annoying , a green explosion and thats it ….no permanent auras or anything…, they are distracting ,+ kill my Outfit wars 2 , based around yellow , red or any other color but green

I love it as is… but if it really needs to change then sure… but leave it green and/or yellow, any other color does not fit the ranger class color, most of our abilities are green and yellow excluding healing skills… it would make no sense for any other color tbh
Going to have to say NO to the hands aura i already have one from my epic weapons

I agree, I like it and wish we had more effects as the other professions got. But some have suggested a checkbox in the options for those who do not want it. I think thats a good idea.
I like the aura why would you wanna get rid of it!
Wanted to go nature based class this expansion, after testing…nope. Visually and aesthetically one of the laziest and poorest implementation. Same goes for Renegade.
Like every expansion, there are bound to be classes that are rush-jobs.
Yes, it literally looks like a bad poop. Why bother making all these items with special effects if they are going to be overridden by a gawd-ugly default diarrhea cloud?
I like the idea of glowing hands instead of the fart cloud but not the ground sigil.
The ground sigil is also the main reason why lots of people don’t play herald
