Should I remove 5 pts( the 2 sec protection roll from WS) and add them to my 20 pts in skirm? What do you think? I play mostly in PvE.

Only if you can flank reliably and you can survive without protection on dodge.

basically, it is just choosing between offence or defense.
both are reasonable =)

Pets dont dodge, the protection lets them survive a hard hit from a boss mob giving you time to heal or swap.
Companion’s Defense is especially good in combination with Fortifying Bond for extra long protection on your pet.
Not as long as “Guard” off course, but that wil cost you an Utility slot.
If your pet can survive, go Offense.
