I need help choosing between:
A hybrid BM build, a healing BM build, and a trap build.
(I don’t know how to make a good trap build.)
I want to use Shortbow/Greatsword for sure. I mostly play WvW, and I mainly do small group (2-8 people) scouting, roaming, camp capturing, tower capturing, havoc grouping, etc. I also solo roam. Zergs aren’t my thing.
Help me make a decision? I really like the hybrid BM and healing BM builds. I also love traps. If anyone has experience with builds like these, please give me your input!
Edit: Also, after some testing, I’ve learned that 1,100 points in Healing Power + Signet of the Wild + Natural Healing makes my wolf able to solo those NPCs in The Mists. Basically, it makes my pets super tough. That’s the only reason that the healing build is so appealing to me. >.>

Hey man, yeah i like to do most of those things that you do. Roaming/small man/scouting/soloing. I’ve done the trap build in WvW for about 2 months and it was great, I run a hybrid BM build now with 873 healing power and I love it. It’s strong in any situation. I also run SB/GS and love it, you can swoop out heal and then #4 to block then swap to bow again and rock and roll. trap build normally is 0/30/30/5/5 is what i ran (last 10 points where you see fit) with rabid gear. Its really strong if you place your traps good. Good luck man, hope i see you out there

Thanks for the input! I’ve decided not to go with traps. I’m going to focus on my pets!
Can you tell me a bit more about your current build? :o
yeah im running cleric jewelry and whatever armor set i want. I have my favorite but you should look it up for your personal playstyle. PTV armor is good, knights is also good, knight/zerker mix is good too. i run 0/10/30/0/30. There are other variations of course, but thats why its hybrid healing. Some people like to run 0/0/30/10/30 or other variations i prefer the 30 into wilderness survival myself but some drop that to 20. just run signet of the wild and you are set man, its a really easy build to run surprisingly and pretty fun.

Haha, okay! Thanks!
Alrighty, I messed with it a bit more. The two builds I’m going to choose from are:
Lookin’ for input!
I would go a healing hybrid, i shoot for 800 healing power, its not too much or too little for me. Both could be good but i would run the second one before the first one. Healing is pretty awesome for roaming and staying in fights. Both could work though but i would mix them probably.
I like the healing one, but there are three big “oops” in the healing build you posted.
First, you absolutely need Dwayna runes. Second, you need 10 points in spirits for the +33% regen duration. Third, you need WS skill VIII: Oakheart Salve.
Otherwise you’re missing out on the biggest part of a healing build – the regen.

Well the only reason I have so much Healing Power is for the huge buff it gives to Signet of the Wild. It keeps my pets alive.
Not the best reason to have that much Healing Power, huh? >.>

Totally need the dwayna runes and stuff for it to be effective
Better, yes?
IMO you concentrate on too much. For me 25% crit chance isnt worth it. I would stick with strength, s.o. Could do the math?

So what do I do? >.>
From what you have said imo you should just use Valroth’s build but with mango pie for the extra regen to make up for the low healing power.
