I deleted my halfway leveled ranger, I couldn’t do it anymore. At first I was like “Yeah a real man takes a challenge, I’ll level this class and make the best of it”.

But now it’s just fighting to play. I can’t summon the will anymore. There is no salvation for the Ranger it seems. No love. I don’t even know what to level next as they kittened up almost every class except the insta gib thief class and daddy’s favourite the warrior.

What now fellow rangers? What now?

Now I just log in and play my ranger like if nothing happened :P I don’t feel like broken class, just a bit underpowered and with some annoying bugs. Ofc I’m disappionted with no buff for my LB, but it’s not like I lost something: I just didn’t gain anything.

Ranger isn’t even underpowered with the nerfs everyone just got. Ranger never had issues in pve. So what now? Enjoy the GS. It’s viable. Once spirits are properly buffed, rangers will be in a decent shape.

You do realize that there are more patches coming this weekend and I’m sure there will be plenty more changes in these patches. Deleting a character is a mistake. Now one day you’ll create a ranger again and kick yourself for ever deleting your old one.

I understand that we are not currently powerful… Every ranger knows this, especially after today.
But one day, one holy day of awesomness perhaps they may fix all the issues and we will become equal to most of the classes (emphesis on the ‘one day’ tho :P)

Im gutted I cant play my ranger like I want too but then again I still love how a ranger works, I think it was a waste to delete. I admit, im probably going to end up re rolling a warrior, not because they are strong or anything, but when rangers get back on track, I want to be hitting the dungeons like no tomorrow on him and enjoy it, the warrior will just be extra bankspace/farming :P

I fel the same, I really love everything about the ranger lore wise and aesthetic wise but I really only play it for the longbow, and its not very good. So since I want a sniper Im left wondering if Id be better off lvling a rifle warrior instead.

Just go warrior. Snipers who rely on silence and efficiency are punished in this game to a ridiculous extent.

21k+ DPS for a warrior with a rifle in one shot? If a LB ranger is lucky they’ll get 3-4k.

What am I going to do? I am going to continue playing what I, in my own opinion, find is the most fun and entertaining class to play.

Let the FTMs switch and play other classes. I play my ranger because I am my ranger at heart. I won’t let any sliver under the finger nail keep me down, I’m God kitten Woodsman for kitty’s sake.

I still do fine. I actually made a new build and it is working amazing for me. I only have trouble taking down really good thieves at the moment it seems.

If you are getting one shot by Volley you might want to rethink your build.

If you ever get hit by kill shot or a full volley, you either bad, blind or CC’ed. There’s this thing called “dodge” in this game, you know?

Also, OP, if you delete a character just because it isn’t the most powerful, then the character is probably not meant for you. If you like playing the class and its mechanics you wouldn’t be so bothered and hastily dispose of it. Maybe you should just go roll a warrior.

Not a single level 80 gets one shotted by a rifle warrior, just saying.

People watches a movie about a warrior with cutscenes killing lowbies (with a bug increasing the damage actually) and suddenly everyone thinks rifle warrior is OP…that’s the funny thing
At most the biggest crit a warrior will get on a true 80 will be like 10k.

I don’t understand why anyone would delete a “half” leveled ranger, what could have you seen at mid levels to delete it when it’s actually the best or one of the best leveling classes…if someone actually deletes a class because of “what people say” then you won’t have a single char in GW2

You might want to rethink that. PvE wise, ranger are doing good, except for the subpar damage and utilities at dungeons. But we will be getting some buffs soon, just not this time around.

The community is exaggerating this time because there were promises made and the minimal fix we had. (Rangers do not get any changes at halloween patch, none at all)

Wow, I would never expect so much complaining about Ranger. I have full exotic R-er and the only class I have problems with is very, very good elementalist and mesmer. Otherare just EATEN. Okay… Full defensive guardian is hard nut, but still I feel like I’m on the same level as others. Someone said here something about warrior hitting like truck for 21k? 6 seconds of immortality or 5 of reflecting projectiles, 10k damage from bleading? Have fun
