This just occurred to me and how awesome it would be. Anet, pls.

If they add that your pet will only cast it after running to an enemy and then channeling for 6 seconds to give you a 1 sec water field.

Something that works a bit like Smokescale’s smoke field would be really nice but I see your point.

I’m just as down on pets as anyone, but we already do REALLY well with waterfields. We already have roughly 1/3 of all normal waterfields in the entire game.

Go to the wiki and look up waterfields, it’s a surprisingly short entry. Aside from thieves stealing from us, there are only 2 other professions that can even make them at all.

Could have a pet crab that creates a water field similar to the way how the F2 on Smokescale works.

I agree, I should be able to blast that puddle that forms from all the tears of frustration when they can’t hit a moving target.

First let them give us a pet whose combo fields don’t turn into nothing the moment you swap them out for the other pet for ..i dunno….clarion bond trigger on old field? Drakes blast finisher? Or it was just dying?…

what we need is more utilities in pets F2 instead just DPS increase.
