RANGER COMPLETE FIX:
The focus of this patch is to align the Ranger with the vision of a resilient and consistent damage dealer previously discussed in the CDI. Due to the current design of the ranger, this requires major overhauls. I decided to post this here because the CDI is flooded and likely just a PR event.
MARKSMANSHIP:
-Signet of the Beasmaster: Removed and replaced by Magebane Shot. Signets now affect the ranger and the pet without a trait.
-Opening Strike (5 adept): Opening strike now refreshes automatically every 25 seconds. Vulnerability applied by Opening Strike now lasts 8 seconds.
-Relentless Hunt (15 master): Critical Strikes from the ranger and the pet now reduce the recharge time of Opening Strikes by 1 second. Replaces alpha strike.
-Wounding Strikes (25 grandmaster): Opening strike now refreshes all vulnerability stacks on the target to 8 seconds. Replaces precise strike.
-Eagle Eye (moved to Adept)
-Signet Mastery (moved to Master): Merged with Beastmaster’s Might. Signets now add 3 stacks of might and have a 20% reduced CD time per use.
-Bow Mastery (Master): Reduces CD of Longbow, harpoon, and Shortbow skills by 20%.
-Magebane Shot (Grandmaster): Opening strikes with a bow now stun the enemy for 2s (60s internal CD).
-Prey on the Weak (Grandmaster): Attacks against a target with 15 stacks of vulnerability or more are 25% more likely to critical hit, replaces remorseless.
-Piercing Arrows (Moved to Grandmaster): Causes arrows to pierce the target and increases damage done by bows by 10% when striking a target that has vulnerability.
SKIRMISHING:
-Bait and Switch (Adept): The ranger leaves a random weaker version of viper trap, spike trap, or flame trap when dodging. Replaces agility training.
-Bestial Rage (Master): Replaces Quickdraw. Pets gain quickness when striking a target that is immobilized or stunned (45s CD).
-Trapper’s Expertise (Master): Reduces recharge on traps by 20%, traps now use ground targeting and are larger.
-Rabid Bite (Master): Transfers one condition from the ranger to the enemy when the pet strikes a target (20s ICD). Replaces carnivorous appetite.
-Honed Axes (Master): Axes deal more critical damage, mainhand skills recharge 20% faster and have speed increased attack animations (that reduce aftercast).
-Trap Potency (Grand Master): Functionality changed to add an extra effect to a traps when triggered. Flame trap now blinds for 2 seconds. Viper trap causes weakness. Frost trap deals damage. Spike trap now inflicts torment.
WILDERNESS SURVIVAL:
-Healer’s Celerity (Adept): Now grants 100% vigor to the revived target in addition to its current effect.
-Oakheart Salve (Moved to Adept, replaces expertise training which is removed.)
-Empathic Bond (Moved to Master, martial mastery is moved to nature mastery and merged with Two-Handed Training). Now only converts 2 condition to the pet every 10 seconds instead of 3.
-Shared Malice (New, Master): The pet now gains X% of the ranger’s condition damage.
-I will Survive! (New, Grandmaster): Gain the effects of Signet of Stone at 25% health (80s ICD, affected by traits). Replaces barkskin.
-Marauder (New, Grandmaster): Switching from ranged to melee or vice versa refreshes weapon swap (20s CD, triggers when the ranger moves 600m away or to the enemy).
