Let’s say that Druid’s new skills were poorly designed, and weren’t even viable in any game type, not even with niche builds, and the traits were horrid, and didn’t synergize with anything, not even itself, and the staff failed at everything it tried to be, but Druid did successfully remove your pet, would you run it? Just something I’m curious about since many Ranger vets hate their pets more than Trahearne. I’m just asking if you would still run Druid if the only thing it did was remove your pet

nope, I love my pet i never want it removed xD also what do you think the staff will be close or long range? :0

Unfortunately Alot of rangers don’t think that way

If pets were removed, but Druid was broken, we’d be trading one barely functional mechanic for another. Not a single difference between the two.

Yeah, basically what Tragic and Chrispy said.

If Druid was broken then you’d be sacrificing a whole traitline for the sake of the removal of the pet. Then, for what little the terrible pathing and lackluster F2s are worth, you’d be missing a portion of damage/cc at no benefit other than not having a pet to attract aggro.

tomorrow I decide if I reinstall gdub and buy HoT, or leave for good (not that anyone cares). /popcorn. impress me ANet.

This, even if druid had absolutely amazing synergy with everything we had and staff and utilities were amazing, if it removed my pet i wouldn’t touch it.

I don’t want the pet gone, i want it to work. I’ve dealt with horrible AI in the past, AI that makes this pet AI a godsend so i make do with it, but it doesn’t mean i don’t want better.

I know this wasn’t asked of me personally… but I think people have a number of options, most popular being:

1. Continue to play current Ranger builds and possibly give up on asking for any fixes to the original Ranger considering the e-specs are now out

2. Re-roll a Revenant, Reaper or Scrapper (lol, “Scrapper”) main

3. Go balls deep with a ton of in-depth feedback and change requests on the forums and sit tight for a while hoping for changes

4. Quit

if druid is either butchered so badly thematically that the thing i’ve been waiting to be added the game (druid) since launch is nothing i’m used to i’m going to be really mad, but will still play the base ranger. If it’s just bad balance wise, but the theme and the mechanics are fine/fun then i’ll play it regardless.

No I would not play that version of Druid. No thank you. I love my pets. If you don’t want pets, just play a different class.

didnt the first trailer showed the ranger with staff and pet? i don’t think they will remove pet but i do think there is tweaking on the pet mechanics.
