Illusions
It used to be so that if you made your settings not to show NPC names, you could tell what’s the real mesmer because illusion names wouldn’t show. But it’s fixed now and illusions act like players in that sense.
If you put your pet on the real mesmer, it will stick to it and you can spot the real one that way.
WvW Roaming with Mesmer
It used to be so that if you made your settings not to show NPC names, you could tell what’s the real mesmer because illusion names wouldn’t show. But it’s fixed now and illusions act like players in that sense.
If you put your pet on the real mesmer, it will stick to it and you can spot the real one that way.
Adding to this, if your pet is on “Guard” (instead of passive) if (more like when) the mesmer stealths the pet will start attacking clones instead and will NOT retarget the mesmer until all the clones are dead.
So make sure your pet is on passive and you target that mesmer ASAP, if you can’t find the real one you’re not gonna win!
Some more helpful notes that will make the mesmer stick out like a sore thumb:
1) Clones will ONLY auto attack, so if one of them is using something other than the auto you got em.
2) Clones will never backpedal or dodgeroll
3) Clones will not have stacks of sigils, charged mantras, or signets other than signet of illusions under their name so if they’ve got those it’s the real one.
