IKR, they took a good trait that tons of people used in tons of builds and turned it into a terrible one that will only be used when it is the least terrible choice or when someone is using clerics gear, which is supremely rare and just never in PvE. And only then if you are using a build that has limited access to boons. Which would be a bad build anyway, so probably suit this trait well.
Even with a Clerics amulet and 1200 healing power, you only get 84 Power. Best case scenario. Even in that scenario, Bountiful Hunter would be better as you most likely are stacking boons for sustain and more damage.
Scale it off a primary stat so it gets at least 70(+) power which is suitable for all power builds.
It’s horrific. Every scaling trait should scale off either vitality, toughness, power or precision, because those start at 1000 and the others start at 0 (healing power, condition damage, ferocity).
I’ll gladly see the quickness go in favor of having it scale off a stat that starts at 1000.
It’s not the only trait in the game with bad scaling. I think Engineer an Elementalist have one too, but they should be changed as well.
Except that Ele gets things like +150 Power, 10% power to condi damage, 7% of precision to ferocity, +190 precision, +150 toughness, 10% of toughness to Condition damage, +150 ferocity on arcane skill use.
And Ranger gets 7% of Healing Power into Power? Serious?
I mean for reals, take a look at the ele traits and just imagine if Ranger had similar. Our woes thath ended…
Looks like the Ele one was improved. I think Ferocious Winds used to scale off healing power or something. I also can’t find the one on Engineer anymore.
So maybe Ranger now has the only trait with bad scaling
