Is it time to come back yet?
Honestly, every single profession forum QQs about their class. Get out there, play the class and ignore these forums for the most part.

Nothing important has been addressed. Only things that happen are fixing the descriptions of skills, slowing our SB dps, boosting underwater skills, and the rest is barely noticeable and irrelevant to what we actually need fixed. It’s QQ for a reason.
Come back in 2-3 years, maybe by then they realized how kitten ranger is.
Ignoring the forums only will hurt you in the long run, the Truth lies within the forums. Let me ask you a question, if you want to know about something, would you just Act upon it or question it? And you just did that, you questioned this forum. The Rng class is unworthy playable since last patch so much, there are no pro’s for it, As much some ppl Desperately try to make it Worth to play, it still falls flat. No Disrespect to them as well but the truth is there. As the saying goes, if something is broken, it’s Best to leave it at that
The sad truth is, many of us will Desperately try to fix it or be Deluded into thinking it isn’t Broken, until worse gets the best of us; my Prediction – more nerfs coming.

Ranger is worse since november/december, if you didnt like back then, you won’t now.
Only decent buff was on greatsword, but the nerf to quickness hurt that weapon more than others (well, excluding LB) due to the big windup on 2 and 5, making the overall performance even worse on the single weapon that devs thought was worth buffing.
Make an alt, like we all did, except a few hardcores who are proud (???) to stay loyal to their one and main class and sink with the ship.
It’s not worth waiting, anet had all the time in the world to fix things, and they didnt. Why should they start now?

Right now the ranger class has many problems with our largest problem being anet devs and coders.
Come back, mess around for a while see how you like it. You can always put in bug tickets if need be, tie enough of their time up and changes will happen.

This is probably the most accurate statement I’ve seen on the forums.
I -want- to love the ranger, but I can’t find a reason why when there’s no reason to use them, since they’re outshone in every role by every other profession.

Hello, fellow ranger here. I haven’t played since around November/December and I was just wondering if there were significant changes to rangers for me to come back. It looks like there have been a lot of changes from what I’ve seen in the patch notes, but from what I see in this first page posts in the ranger section, it is still all QQ.
I played mostly 30/30 and WVWVW shortbow/longbow/greatsword/axe&warhorn. Please tell me something has changed and if not, what are the pros and cons from then till now. THANKS!
With the release of the Super Adventure Box, it’s probably one of the best times to come back to the game…
…but the ranger is in a relatively bad state, making it one of the worst times to come back to this class, at least in PvE.
Ranger class just clim back from hell to small cliff we don’t know what happen in future we will better fix for good or got kick back to more deep hell,only god know.
We Got fix for better(I TRY to use positive word)and need more fix a lot of bug and not useful skill/traits/etc.
Nowday we good but not best can do any but not expert at high end as another class.
If you love to play then play if u need to feed awesome chain killer 1v50 you need try another class.
Ps.I still love this class and alway play well sometime am boring I pick another clas to learn and play b4 back to ranger again.
