Hello! Wanted to ask – is there a point? I see alot of cool ideas from people – but it just seem like a waste of breath. Was a single idea promoted by a player was invented into the game mechanics?

Yes, quite often actually. For example “nerf spirits” and “nerf pets” were first loudly promoted by PvPers before they were adopted.

99.999% of suggestion horrid. Terrible. Do right just terribad. That’s why they got rid of the suggestion forum (or at least thats the REAL reason they did).

But, yes, some ideas from the community have made it to the game. Unfortunately, good ones like perma-stowing pets or keyinds for pet stowing or active/passive still have yet to make it into the game.

RNG is a bell curve. Better hope you’re on the right side.

Yeah, perma-stow would be a valid option… Quite sad imo, guess I’ll just wait for next pvpv update, perhaps something will change.

I think the main concern here is 99% of these suggestions are already widely known to the community and/or have already been posted and/or are just bad. If you’re new to the game, just stop for a moment and recognize that the balance has largely not changed in any significant manner for years... years. That being said, we usually will get behind any good ideas.

Your odds of seeing a suggestion become reality go WAY up if you’re doing it in a relevant CDI thread.

Most of the time they aren’t all that interested in fixes – they have people on staff for that. Instead they do pay attention to the massed outcry identifying problems. Particularly in sPvP.

The ranger CDI didn’t really go all that well, might be a while before we see anything like that again.

I like to think ArenaNet is aware of that since the host for that thread was no longer working at the company six weeks later.

I just remember having to message her just to get the company’s definition of a couple of focus terms and once defined caused a skritt storm.

all of this community’s great ideas went into the huge CDI thread, and we’re hoping they used all this feedback to create the Druid. waiting to see.

Some ideas were used. For example RtW or SotF traits. It’s pretty funny to see how everyone misses it and complain about other things.

I was out for a few months and am still feeling my way around the Ranger changes. Could you explain that slowly and with fewer acronyms ?
