I know for the most part Berserker’s and the 2/2/2 rune spread is the way to go, but in the meantime of getting my zerker gear, is there any build that works nicely with Rampager’s? I have a kitten ton of AC tokens that I can use to kit myself out in it. Traps seem like they would sync with it nicely, but I thought I’d see what you guys think.

Oh, and PVE is the focus here.

You can get a Soldier set from AC, so if you don’t have a more defensive armor set yet that is an alternative to Rampager.

I have used a rampager’s (with a few rabid thrown in) set in PVE. The damage numbers can seem a little underwhelming, especially compared to what I’ve seen from full berserker builds, but the consistent crits and high condition damage are not bad. It works nicely with shortbow + piercing arrows, and bleed duration runes. Would probably also work decently well with a trap build but I’ve not tried that.

If you have a condition build you like that is built on something like apothecary or settler’s gear, but want more damage and can stand to be less durable in PVE, you can do the same thing atop a rampager’s set and do just that much more damage, and be somewhat effective with power weapons.

One thing rampagers gear is REALLY good for is a glassier BM build, go at least 20 in skirmishing for pets prowess and companions might and then 30 in BM, i’ll normally dump the last 20 into WS for more condi damage and then use SB + Axe/Torch, it’s A LOT of damage that you can pump out, especially your pet!

Traps also work really well for rampagers, especially if you take the sharpening stones proc trait, sharpened edges, and sigils of earth.

I only really use mine set anymore when I do the underwater fractal, when I use my harpoon gun.

If you’re happy playing direct damage berserker, I don’t really see any good reason to switch to a condi build.

I’ve recently hit 80 and began to run some dungeongs… so my experience is still pretty little… Currently running with Apothecary’s set… Im also thinking about rampager’s gear.

Most people here would agree with running with berzerker’s gear for dungeons. Reason why im looking at other sets now is….
1) Healing power does nuts for me, be it regen, healing springs, heal as one bla bla… no matter how much heal i put out im just gonna get hit hard.
2) I think toughness is …. okkkaaayyy…. but as rangers base health is low, i probably should have invested in vit gear instead.
3) Condition damage so far, is pretty

So instead of berzerker’s gear, im looking at rampager’s gear. How nice if i could hit hard, crit high, and still do solid bleeds. Oh I use shortbow in dungeons (longbows wun cut it as i dont really stand that far out) and greatswords (For AOE situations, another reason to go rampagers)…

I’ve tried swapping out stuff a bit here and there for just 1 equipement. Like for example. Apothecary’s SB vs Berzerker’s SB damage and bleeds for that 3 seconds.(Im throwing numbers here, cant exactly remember)

(247bleed) (224bleed).

So although berzerker’s gear does increase my direct damage, my bleeds take quite a hit. So right now, im prepare to chuck away healing power as im really really not impressed and disappointed with that stat… toughness wise im still debating…

It that day friest craft Exo-set I use Rampage type because poison.sac T6 is cheap and "Rampage"name feeling awesome nothing more or less.
BTW nowday that rampage gear set still useful for me.
I mix accs ring/earring/neck with knight and carrion If u need HP to soak condition tik get some HP/Vit accs.If you need more DEF looking for tough type.
Looking accs is choice what your style play you need?

This rampage gear I can use Longbow like condition weapon lol.

My build with rampage is…
20/20/30/0/0 or 20/30/20/0/0 or 30/10/30/0/0 or 30/20/20/0/0(today I use this)

I have a “flame and frost” themed rampager dungeon build on jubskies sticky. I lile rampager gear. For ranger, I was using it to solo arah back when I was beating my head against lupicus solo. Someday I’ll beat that ridiculous looking monster solo. Someday! Maybe! Lol

Rampager’s gear is fine if you decide you want to focus on good bleeds for shortbow. I fail to see how using greatsword is a reason to go rampager’s. There are no damaging conditions on greatsword.

You won’t crit very hard in rampager’s gear. You’ll crit often, but not very hard. You need +crit damage to crit hard.

A: Sure, the place is in my equipment slots. In some ocasions where LB/Greatsword do provide the more suited tools for the task at hand. My current build compensates with bleed on crit trait, plus traps and sun spirit can be slotted and there’s also sigils to help generate condiition damage output.

Bottom line is i prefer steady stream of damage instead of a bigger number on the screen. You know the saying:“Only small minds are impress by big numbers”. And this is how berserk’s Myth spawn players asking questions in the form as this.

Go ahead mate, try it and see if you like it, most of our weapons’ skills benefit from rampager.

Yes Mesmers and Necro make good Rampagers..

I had Rampagers on my Ranger ages back its as good as Zerker in my opinion, i don’t see much difference to be honest..

Assassins seems interesting too.

This is an awesome build using rampagers….
I even used it for roaming cuz no one expects a ranger to stack 25bleeds in a few sec.

I stopped using Shortbow with it though and Ran Axe/Horn with longbow instead.

Horn alone can instantly apply 25 stacks of bleeds on someone.

Did you load it with sharpened edges? Did it activate keen edge all by itself? That is total insanity!

Please consider that when running Berserker one you’ll see more crits and +from high critical damage. With Ascended zerker shortbow, still not pure zerker (soldier’s armor, zerker weapons, zerker trinkets, incomplete ascended), I often do about 700-1000 damage per shot easily on non-upscaled. Not even counting bleed.

Sharpened edges, Sigil of earth, and keen edges should do it on its own

Its great for Hybrid Power/condition builds. Exchange crit damage for cond. damage, compared to zerk.
