I noticed two nights ago that the Jaguar doesn’t lose it’s stealth anymore when it attacks. Has it always been this way? i could have sworn it used to remove it’s stealth as soon as it landed it’s first attack.
It does, but there is a lag time, at least from what I have noticed on mine. about a second after it lands the attack.
I never noticed that. The jaguar stays invisible the entire 6 seconds. Perhaps his stealth wore off by the time he got a hit on the target so it appears that the attack broke stealth?
This happens alot. You have to consider the amount of time it takes for the jaguar to catch the target and hit it. The 6 seconds may be up by then.
You’ll see what I mean if you use stealth when the jaguar is close to the target and doesnt have to chase.
I’ve watched my invisible jaguar chew up many opponents while they just stood there wondering what was making their health go down.

The jaguar never lost its “stalk” effect. If they did loose it upon first attack, it would be one of, if not THE worst, pet F2 skill of all.
It never lost it.
It’s pve meta for a reason:
- Stealth from this skill provides 25% critical-hit chance for your pet.
- Pet remains invisible even while inflicting damage.
- Increases pet’s ferocity by 375 / critical damage by 25%.

Always been like that. When the range of our leash was still ridiculous, it was one of the best long range options to assassinate heavily guarded dolyaks in wvw.
