Jst tested melee pet, huge improvement.
Great if your pet actually reaches the target – which generally doesn’t happen in wvw most of the time, unless you’re 1v1 in which case it’s either a mes or a thief- and it’s quite hilarous watching a pet trying to hit either of those (not really, it sucks, fails completely, and it’s a lot of your damage failing).
Now a moving pet only loses 50% of its dps.
Also I noticed that wolf/dog always use knock down 1st once it’s rdy (e.g. every respawn).
In hotjoin, with survival + pet master build, ranger have a good stand especially 1v1 now(I can feel pet’s help significantly).
In wvw, ranger can be a good roaming class now.

Pet is still rooted with its attack animations. So even with Sick-em it’ll hit someone maybe 2 times while they run away even though it’s running 40% faster for 10 seconds. On the other hand, once it starts an animation it will actually hit the target.
yep, with 25% move speed from SoH, pet almost never misses. pet is rooted, but you’ll notice the 1 second “im gettin ready to attack” animation is more or less gone.
