Juvenile Jungle Stalker
There could be a few reasons for this.
1) Mighty Roar only works if you are in combat. If the two of you are just running around you won’t get the buff.
2) roar has a 600 aoe and the longbow has 1200-1500 range. It’s easy to be out of the buff range.
The best thing to do is, while in combat, call the cat to you with f3, hit f2 to get the might, then send him back to fight.
There is an issue with all pets where you press f2 and they seem to not use their skills until they decide to (which can be 30 seconds later if ever) so that may be it as well.
There’s definitely a F2 bug lurking somewhere amidst the animation delays. I was at Jormag a couple weeks ago with my jungle stalker on passive just standing there next to me. 3 times, I hit F2 and waited about 10 sec, and the skill wouldn’t fire. Finally I hit it twice in rapid succession and it went on cooldown, after which it worked normally.
Cant tell you how many fights I have completely finished and then the pet shows up from whatever it was off doing out of sight. What really gets me is these places where I am inside 900 range and can shoot my target but my pet simply cant see it till I cross some invisible line. Then when the pet crosses it, it can see and attack my target.
(There are many examples but a good one is on Frostgorge moving east to west towards Ice Floe waypoint killing Icebrood Collosus. The last one to attack is outside the gorge but just barely. I can shoot it all day from within the gorge but my pet will never know it’s there even if it is 400 range away.)
Ok, the bug seems to be tied to whether kitty is doing something or not (fighting, moving etc). Best is to use it when kitty is less “distracted” and it works about 80% +.
I tend to have him return and as returning call up the F2. Or I use the F2 when running into a fight but not there yet.
BUT, when the pet is engaged it seems to wig out half the time. As if, it can’t figure out which animation to do.
