Guild Wars 2

Looking for a strong build for wvwvw, looking at using the longbow. I’d like to also use the horn as an off wep. Any strong builds out there that use these?

LB is only useful for attacking and defending keeps. Other than that the pre-nerf SB is the only viable weapon ):

Longbow is useful but I don’t see it being used as your main weapon in any build. I use it as a secondary weapon to hit people at range during keep defense, and the AOE defending keeps and at choke points. The number 4 attack is also useful at keeping bad warriors away. The problem is that the autoattack is slow, it doesn’t hit very hard, and none of the other LB skills bring much to the table damage wise. The number 2 attack is ok, but it’s still not as good as the SB autoattack.

longbow can be alright. for defending it is really fun, you can trick people into thinking they are getting attacked by an arrow cart.

make sure you have piercing arrows, especially for the second and forth skill. the second skill actually does really good damage if you are able to hit 3+ targets, which happens alot when you going up against a zerg, and being able to disrupt 2 enemies from rezing their ally is just entertaining

have a short bow or a axe as your other weapons because you will need to switch to it while the longbows cooldowns are up as the lb auto attack is quite subpar.
