LF spirit build tPvP
Well. Deku God. The token spirit ranger of PvP runs something like. Axe/torch and SB. x/x/30/30/x with rata sum. He runs full spirits. Sun, Stone, and the power one I think. Also uses rata sum runes which are nice but very situational.
Personally, I like sun and stone a lot and have used spirits to destroy trap rangers that refuse to move from their point. I ran 0/0/30/30/10 with rabid. My third utility was protect me. However, in retrospect I would change it to LR and use jaguar/raven to do even more dmg (pets also get spirit buffs). The spirit of nature is great for the heals, the rez, and the self rez. Also, the other spirits aren’t worthwhile imo.
One of my favorite builds was GS and s/t. I used sun spirit and kept fire fields and burning dmg up all the time.
Since spirits are so uncommon you will just have to experiment a little I think.
You can also not trait them for movement and just put them off to the side since the radius is pretty large. Although you wouldn’t be very mobile.
Just tested it and the spirit buff range is 1200 and I know it goes through walls and stuff.
Am I good?… I’m good.

Hey thx for your reply.
Yes I also chose not to make them follow me since I preferred trait VII and VIII instead.
I actually went for x/x/10/30/30 and cleric jewel. So more healing, but I’m not all sure about it since the damage will be lacking big. I’ll just test around a bit with what I’ve got and what you’ve suggested.
I’m curios of your weapon choice there. Since you’ve doing a condition build, how come you went for greatsword? I’m also debating whether to use torch or dagger. I actually used dagger in my trapper build lately instead of torch for more CC, bleed and poison.
I went GS on that particular build just to get the extra leap so i could keep aura up. I used fire trap but not ground targeting. I would just stay in their face spamming fire trap, bonfire, and leaps for fire aura. The GS stun was great to keep them in my fire circles too. It was kind of overkill on the burn department but I liked it.

It won’t save spirits if something wants to kill them, but healing spring will help them survive a bit of AOE. I use immobile spirits in PvE and do that.
I’ve tried spirits now in some matches in spvp. So far no one really seem to bother to even attack the spirits. However, I’m trying to place them in “odd” places, behind obstacle or on a higher terrain. Even 1v1 when the spirits are fairly close to me nobody even seem to care about them. Anyhow, so far my problem is not so much them dying as the long channel time for putting them up. Kinda annoying doing it in the middle of a fight. And idk, I just feel maybe for a condition build a regular trapper build would be better still.
i’d say go condition dmg so you benefit from sun spirit the most, go support so you get boon duration buffs for stone spirit.
Of course if you want to support you’ll have to have spirits unbound.
1v1 they truly aren’t viable unless you don’t get unbound and hide them around a point, maybe then it would work 1v1.
