Leaked notes confirmed.
hahahaha. ha. ha. I thought so. It’s all true. What more can I say? Worst patch yet coming up.
>Get told every single trait line has at least one change
>First line of the news post is “Domination: Nothing changed on this trait line.”
Oh Anet you do make me laugh.
Gunnar’s Hold
These traits updates are horrible for DPS. Sad sad day for DPS rangers (which seems like an oxymoron more and more with every patch).
I don’t think I will be using any of them except for the Beastmasters Might. That’s it. Just because there is nothing better, not because its an awesome trait.
Uh I run a DPS signet ranger and I actually thought Marksmanship has decent traits. Signet of the Beastmaster is a must obviously, also reduced signet cooldowns. And for the last slot I usually took piercing arrows to make sure that I hit what I want to hit but now there are quite a few other options.
I mean this new Keen Edge should grant you between 1500 and 2500 bleed damage dependent on your cond dmg whenever it procs and usually it should proc atleast once in every fight.
I don’t. I run traits specifically for DPS. Condi Damage is too slow when I’m capped when in group (which I am most of the time) if I remember correctly how it works in a group. So, I don’t use sharpening stone now nor will I use keen edge in the future. I use 10% more damage when endurance is full (so I traited for that with my current build in WS 5 pts ). I also run piercing arrows and the opening strike always on 1st hit GM trait.
Oh yeah, DPS is king so… DPS build > Condi build until they change how PVE/dungeons work.

Anyone noticed that at the top of the page it says, and i quote,
“As a note these are unofficial patch notes, just simply a preview!”?
No one? Really?
EDIT: That being said, i wouldn’t be surprised if these are real

I’m not the best at remembering trait names but I’m thinking of doing the signet cooldowns, Beastmaster’s might, and signet of the beastmaster on the Marks line. Usually will have Signet of the Wild and one other signet on the bar anyway. I used to run the 10% endurance while full but maybe Beastmasters might can replace that and I will be using the Natural Vigor to simply be able to dodge more rather than just make sure I am at the endurance cap.
Shame about the supposed Zephyr’s Speed change though, was such a nice gravy quickness for something you do anyway for 5 points.
@Durzlla I’m also surprised that ppl started with “and that is confirmed” and have that first line of all
still there is also told that it’s “surely incomplete”
so still they may be changes in those traitlines
“-and on this occasion I keep mine plate armors”

Really? That’s quite the 180 from the last time I saw you post on this issue. Namely, something along the lines of “there’s no way I’m believing these!”. Pulling a Microsoft/Xbox One are we?
Don’t get me wrong, as far as Rangers go I hope they are completely off, but if they aren’t both you and Chopps have got quite a lot of your own words to eat, considering you’ve both been quite adamant about them being complete bullkitten.
You know I didn’t think it was possible to make the Beastmastery traits worse…so congrats Anet.
What’s with the shout grandmaster trait in nature magic…especially when shouts have so little utility (other than protect me). Sick ’em has so many conditions for it to even function, guard is pretty useless, and now search and rescue is the worst teammate res skill (it was always bad in pvp).
Honestly, I think builds will change a bit, but spirits were not buffed enough. Everyone will still be running BM, and BM will probably still be a great 1v1 build.

Guard isn’t useless. It gives your pet almost perma protection. One of the biggest complaints is that pets die too fast. It’s nice. Sick ‘em needs to be fixed, yes, but it is still a great ability. Protect me is decent now as a stun breaker, it’ll see some use for sure. Search and rescue.. I dunno, I love the concept of it but when I use it and my pet just stands there I sigh in real life. Maybe it combos with the altered WS rez trait?
The leaked notes mentioned faster activation times for spirits, I’d be interested to see if that makes them any better to use. As it is now their abilities are unreliable, but they got buffed to 0.5 seconds activation time and a larger radius this patch. Definitely worth testing out but I agree that on paper it’s questionable.
Regardless, some exciting stuff to look forward to this patch. Looking forward to dumping the signets and running something a little more interactive

Shoulda stated that better lol, was more trying to say I’d -want- those to be that way, shouldn’t be typing kitten up when I just get up.
The vigorous spirit one though, it seems too strong to be an adept…
That being said, if I’m wrong I’m wrong lol

Still not confirmed, but highly likely. Who would fake a 36,000 character changelog? I know I don’t have that kind of time on my hands, not to mention how similar these changes are to what devs have stated and that the devs never denied these leaked notes. Btw, I love that the guys that think these are fake are same guy’s opinions I already ignore on this forum.

If I have free time and was bored, I would, especially once it’s confirmed their false(if in these patch notes case) and everyone’s bummed their changes they planed on were wrong.
And of course they’d be similar, they were released on the same day they stated the changes, to make matters worse these patch notes were “leaked” AFTER the blog post came out so literally anyone coulda made them.
And for the silence thing, everyone said the same kitten thing when I was saying “Zhaitan fight is bugged!” And everyone replied with, “No way! Anet would’ve said its bugged by now if it was!” But you know, only took Anet like 2 months to pop in and confirm it was bugged, their silence means nothing.

You would go to the effort to fake that if you had the free time and were bored. That tells me all I need to know about you. Second, your first sentence makes no sense so I read no further. Let me demonstrate my point. “If I have free time and was bored, I would, especially once it’s confirmed their false(if in these patch notes case) and everyone’s bummed their changes they planed on were wrong.” Correct me if I’m wrong but you say you would create fake patch notes after it is confirmed those other patch notes are fake and would be more willing to do it if everyone else is bummed because their planned changes won’t be accurate? Seems sadistic doesn’t it? Leading my back to my first comment.
Anyway, unless otherwise specified, it is hard to determine if that website gained the patch notes from the original leak or from ANET themselves. We shall see tomorrow.

Why would anet give them patch notes before a launch when they have never, ever done so in the past and especially days after said notes were already leaked to pretty much everyone by now?
Also rather odd that Dulfy managed to get legit info on the update concerning the content and the new dungeon and yet has no info on the balance notes.

Sorry, I’m on a phone, auto correct is horrible, but yes I’d make fake patch notes if I had the time and was bored ( neither of those are true atm), and I’d make them for a upcoming patch, not after these ones already are here. iE I’d release them ~when these ones were (a few days before patch). And a harmless prank isn’t really sadistic if you ask me.
But yeah as someone else said, how do all these guys with access to the instance and that have nothing on the balance?
