Guild Wars 2

I want to make a legendary for my ranger, but i’m not liking any of the bow skins. So I came up with legendary pets instead. Maybe pets could be made of gold, onyx, different gems, or any other fun crazy stuff. Hope you get the idea. I know all the other classes would be jealous. I think this would be a great option. I don’t mean the elite fire hounds and wolf. Share ideas and thoughts. ty

Why legendary pets? They’re claiming pets are an extension of us not our weapon…

This is a great idea. I don’t think there should be any stat boost. It would just be a vanity option, like how legendary weapons are: no better than exotics currently. Although it would be weird to “craft” a pet.

You don’t have to craft it. Its not a weapon, its a living thing that fights with you perhaps for rangers to get a legendary pet they have to track it down, and do a bunch of things in order for the legendary pet to agree to fight with….. lots of possibilitys

You don’t have to craft it. Its not a weapon, its a living thing that fights with you perhaps for rangers to get a legendary pet they have to track it down, and do a bunch of things in order for the legendary pet to agree to fight with….. lots of possibilitys

This, they can make us have to track it down, fight it (1v1 no outside help), track it down again, try to befriend it etc.

All these steps they should have us need to get an item for, something that requires a metric kitten ton of items for to ensure not every ranger and their grandma can get it, but it should also be hard gameplay wise too to ensure someone doesn’t just buy their way up.

I am thinking Battle cat from He-Man like transformation for “Legendary” pets….I like this idea of legendary pets.

I really wish we could do a quest to “level up” our pets. GW1 did it and it was fun. Like imagine if you could get your wolf to become like Garm.

Legendary in this game at least seems to indicate rarity and value, not really statistical supremacy. With that being said, pets really are just an extension of the ranger as much as our bow is. To have rare or legendary pets would be great, and I see a time when it will be neccessary to give pets agony resistance anyways.

I’m all for this idea. I’ve come from past MMOs where having certain pets brought a level of pride. Plus, I really like pets so I’m all for variety.

I LOVED the idea.
I can even imagine myself runing around with a white shinny tiger or an actual dragon (not a drake u.u) or something like that!

It’s a good thing legendary bows suck so i don’t have to waste my precious time farming to get them. The warhorn is quite cool tho.
That said more “rare” pets would be nice.

This is such a good idea, that I kinda doubt that they haven’t thought of something along these lines already for the future. Though of course I could be wrong, in which case I hope this idea goes in the suggestions board as well :/

I like this idea of legendary pets. Make it so there’s a legendary for each type of pet. A legendary tank, a legendary DPS, a legendary range, a legendary support, etc. Give us something to work for, something to treasure, something…that will prove useful in the long run.
