Legendary Pets!?
Not a fan of stat increases. I use all possible stat increases for WvW, but I would prefer it if WvW used a system similar to sPvP.
The rainbow phoenix from the first game was a nice idea I thought. You got it after maxing 10 titles (probably like the equivalent of 6k AP in GW2.) The black widow from GW1 was also only able to be acquired from an elite area (sort of like Arah or high level fractals.) I wouldn’t mind something like either one of those, and they already have precedents with the HoM pets.
Have a Legendary Egg drop from random mobs with the same chance for a precursor to drop.
You can raise this egg up over time and develop its stats and abilities. As the pet progresses through the ranks, its look changes and develops until finally it reaches its “Legendary” look/rank.
Guild Leader of Favorable Winds [Wind]
a unircorn pls!!
I would love to the following legendary pets:
-Rainbow Phoenix
-Imperial Phoenix
-Glints Baby (Baby Dragon)
Though, ideally… I think it should be once you equip a legendary weapon, your pets stats get an increase, once un-equipped, your pets go back to normal. Would be nice as well if your pets inherited your legendaries effects (footprints, glows, etc)

Fort Aspenwood
i want a lion
This would actually be reminiscent of the WoW hunter challenges my wonderful boyfriend keeps trying to shove down my throat.
I think the idea should be pushed forward, however not as a drop. Drop rate has little to nothing to do with skill, only with how lucky you are. I’d prefer it as more of an achievement box like most Meta events. Do X and Y and you get Z.
For example for the baby dragon listed above to obtain the egg.
X Kills with a drake
Collect X herb or something.
Kill X undead drakes.
Once completed you are awarded a legendary drake egg, which unlocks a new quest train.
Complete Arah p3
Y kills with Drake
Reach location Z on the map. Some mundane and pain in the kitten place.
Kill champion creature. (Probably a drake in this case like a broodmother) But don’t just blatantly tell us what one it is, make it a hunt of some sort to figure out which one it is.
This would cause it to hatch, and then you have to level it up by doing some mundane kill quest.
It’d be a bit of a grind but hey something to do at 80.
Once it’s 80 with you, you have an optional quest X kills with legendary weapon of your choice to get a cosmetic effect applied to it.
For example Kudzu, it’d start to appear more of a jungle dragon.
Dreamer it’d turn more into a pretty unicorn desu desu.
Twilight it’d start to darker and more cosmic
so on so forth.

For the pheonix’s apply this to birds.
They could do all kinds of cool creatures this way, and it’d kind of show a Ranger’s ability to get things done, apply achievements to the AP of the ranger, and have some cool effects of their own.
It’d be fun!
Spiders: TA
Birds: CoF
Drakes: Arah
Devourer: idk lol.
Dogs: CM
ect ect
Also the ability to change their f2 skill to any of the same type’s out of combat like the legendary.

This reminds me of the Black Moa Mini meta quest that sent you across all 3 continents doing things and gathering supplies to eventually hatch the egg. I approve!
We need Rainbow Phoenix / Imperial Phoenix, Hound of Balthazar (GW1 have this type of pet), giant rats, crabs, lions, jingle moa / bear. All present in Guild Wars 1 and no where to be seen in Guild Wars 2.
I don’t know if I want Legendary pets (implying the same amount of grind needed to get one), but I would support more rarer pet skins available in the game by completing difficult content. I do miss my flamboyant Rainbow Phoenix from GW1… XD
i’d love my rainbow phoenix back from GW1
sucks that in pvp everyone gets to use the Black Widow so it loses all of its prestige
Additional stats are no go in my book, but i would love to see some rare pets. Maybe not legendary at the begining but a bit more rare. Crafting seems a bit of a long run but a scavanger hunt would be amazing and a great idea. I like where your idea is going.
Legendary pets would be a bit much. It would likely be a grind and it wouldn’t be fair for rangers to get something unique to them like this while the other classes get ignored. Perhaps adding some new pets that are harder to obtain would be good though, there are already many creatures already in the game that could have a legendary feel to them such as basilisks and griffons. Maybe they could put the pets in Living Story instances, in JPs and in dungeons to make them a little more interesting to obtain.
I want the NoPet! The NoPet has 100000000000000000000000000000000000 HP, 0 damage and gives an everlasting damage buff to the ranger, which makes up for his initial loss to justify the pets.
Meanwhile I would not just drop pets (I like the fact there is someone at my side),
I would rather use them for special things, as extension of my will/arms, but not on sacrificing my own damage. It’s hell lame when it’s not working for 2 years…
Enough of it…
