Funny, I’ve been keeping note on the professions I see (easiest done with allies since you can use their name as reference to keep from counting them more than once) and this is pretty much what it came down to.
Mesmers: They are taking top spot, replacing thieves.
Thieves: Was the number one profession but I’ve seen fewer numbers lately.
Warrior and Guardian: They take 3rd and 4th place but in which order, I’m not too sure.
Ranger: I see more of the above than I do rangers, yet I see more rangers than I do necros, eles and engineers.
Elementalist: They did sit higher than ranger but lately it turned around.
Necromancer and Engineer: I’ve seen a small rise in necromancers but these two look to be the least represented in WvW.
Although i do agree that the F2 needs better response time. Hell, pet AI needs to be seriously looked at.
F2 skills that are not target dependant should work on demand. I’d go as far as saying that it should interrupt the pet’s current action.
A pet’s auto attack, as a minimum, should hit on the move. If you want to kite the pet while fighting the ranger, then you should have to cripple the pet and/or speed buff yourself to prevent the pet from getting within melee range in the first place (as what proper kiting is).
If we can select it with our mouse, it should NOT be ‘Too Far Away’ with regards to sending our pet in to attack.
Our pets should be able to use the teleport style doors found at keeps and towers. If we can go through it, our pets should be able to go through it.
If on passive and the target disappears, then the pet should run back. If on aggressive and the target disappears, then the pet should simply stop until the target reappears. If there is another target nearby and the original target disappears, then the pet (if on aggressive) should engage the other target only until the original target appears again.
Right now cats seem to perform better than birds. Not sure why since they seem to have the same stats. To give them more use, perhaps they should be the one pet that can fly down from and up to the walls of towers and keeps.
As for traps. Well, they are traps and by their very nature are meant to be triggered by an enemy who happens to walk into it.
