Certain enemy skills will knock you out of the evade portion. Shouldn’t LR break you out of these? Gravity Well? Guardian Rings and warding lines?
Gravity Well is 3 pulses, if you evade 1 you can still get hit by 2 pulses.
Warding lines and Rings need stability to be broken out of, you can’t evade them.
After LR breaks the stun, there’s a short window before the evade frames where you are vulnerable to being hit by CC.
Honestly, LR should grant stability for at least the duration of the skill.
All evades and movement effect skills do not allow you to pass through warding effects. This includes things like thief Sword 2, which despite being a teleport, cannot pass through wards.
Stability or Shadowstep effects are the only way out. It’s for this reason DH counters thief so hard.
I agree with what has been said so far. These sort of skills are supposed to be counters, but they are not anymore. Why bring an escape skill when you can’t use it to escape.
Changing these sort of skills, across the board, so they would free us from AoE death rings, would do quite a bit to incentivize mechanical knowledge and skill.
