Longbow or shortbow or both?

I’ve always used Longbow and Greatsword. Barrage is a fantastic AOE and rapid fire is mad OP now.
Simply cycle through all your skills as fast as you can and use the Autoattack only on cooldown.

When I want to make a power damage based ranger, should I go with longbow or with shortbow?
Because longbow hits harder but shortbow hits faster.
Or maybe I should use both?
But then I have no melee weapon…

Either way…if you’re taking a ranged weapon on a power build, go with longbow and trait for Read the Wind.

if its a pve build, predators onslaught is now mandatory which means you cant take read the wind.

if its a pve build, predators onslaught is now mandatory which means you cant take read the wind.
…if you’re running sword, predator’s onslaught is worthwhile, but for a longbow build, that makes no sense.
I’m not arguing for taking longbow over sword, but the OP was asking specifically for longbow.
And even then, you can still swap to RtW on ranged fights, then change it back to Predator’s for melee fights.
