I whipped this up as a theory craft build when I was bored. I’m fairly certain I want to persue re-making my ranger and give it Kudzu so I thought I would ask. I could put it on a warrior but I have a bloody hatred for heavy armor. How does this build look to you? I’m trying to keep myself buffed fairly high up while still giving my pet high enough buffs that it won’t be dead weight.

Since I’m here I might as well ask. How is ranger atm in WvW? Is the pet AI any better? Do pets still leash all enemies within a 2 map radius?

Anything you could tell me, critique me for I would appreciate~ thanks!

What is burning my eyes is that there is absolutely no condition cure (neither reduction).
If you’re going for such high critical damage, I’d consider it dropping for case of critical chance (knight items).
Anything else LB/GS experts will tell you. I’m rather SB/S&Wh fan.

The addition of the Knight’s trinkets helps a lot, as critical chance is more important until you have about 60%.

The more important observation is what you want to do with it, though. I assume, since you asked, that you plan to do mostly, or a lot, of WvW?

Yeah looking at your first build I would have suggested lowering your crit damage for some extra crit chance since you’re not using warhorn. The second build looks alot better imo.

By some twist of sick irony I think I’m meant to play Ranger. After discussing this I decided to try my stupid luck in the MF and on my 2nd batch of level 75 rares, after playing since pre-release I got Leaf of Kudzu! I need to finalize a solid build now it’s official, becoming a ranger!

Hah, say what you will but I’ve been playing since the beta’s daily and this is finally my first precursor. I was telling a friend I didn’t care which was my first, if I got one I would make it on the spot.

Then I started looking at the legendaries again and thought, wow, Kudzu has a lot of subtlety to it…let’s try that. Put 8 rares in and boom! Kudzu~

This being said we’ll ignore the 150 gold I spent in combining rare daggers last week and the fact I’ve been flushing the mystic toilet since day 6ish lol.
