Guild Wars 2

I’m making a new ranger toon and I was browsing around but I can’t really find a build I really like. I’m trying to have a build with fairly high dps, with a focus on using pets and long range (kiting, longbow, stuff like that). I also need the focus to be on PvE and dungeons, with an ability to (somewhat) work in WvW. Honestly though, from what I’ve been reading people say the only way to make something that good in all aspects is a warrior or guardian, but I hope that you guys can come up with some good suggestions! Thanks.

Here is a list of builds. There are only a few PVE here since Ranger options are severely limited in that area. I also do PVE and the first FOTM build is really your best bet.

I’m looking at the FOTM one and it seems solid, but the one issue I have with it is pet survivability. The focus is stacking might on your pet, but without any traits in BM your pet will die almost instantaneously, especially in instances.

The builder is old, but the build itself hasn’t changed despite that, so it doesn’t matter. I run in all Cleric gear. Longbow damage isn’t great, but when you need to get serious you have Greatsword. It’s very hard to die between regen and invunerability. Also your regen passes on to your pets and they’re pretty hard to take out too, as long as you pay attention.
