I know this isn’t the first list of pets we wish for the future, but can we make this the first one where we avoid spamming the A-net team with all sorts of unrealistic wishes….

Name ONE pet u’d like to see in the future!

My wish is; GRIFFON

(the juveniles could be a tiny bit smaller that the adults though…)

Fox…that’s all I want.

wurm would make a bad kitten ranged pet (or melee if it’s animations are sped up) exp if it’s F2 is an aoe throw like the big kitten frost wurms that knock down and freeze

One pet wish? Perma-stow.

One pet wish? More pet control (particularly, blast finishers, but perma-stow helps in “evade” situations where your pet cannot but die a very quick death).

Two pet wishes? Un-nerf pet damage.

Three pet wishes: Improved F2 activation/reaction time.

But sure, I’ve asked for a griffon since the second week following the game’s release. It’s no longer at the top of my wish list though. Too much gutting of our class and all that.

1 pet wish: give every other class a pet so everyone is equally kitten. Finally game balance!

Edit: that or a juvennile pet charr.

You can have your pet attack a different target already, put them on passive and spam F1 on a target (doubt you need to spam it, but that’s what I do) and then shoot the target -you- want and the pet won’t move.

If your pet is on defensive or w/e the red one is called your pet will stick to whoever you’re attacking instead of staying on the target you sent them to.

I’d very much love to color my pet hot pink and give it a spiked collar, lol.

But aesthetics aside, I’d very much like to decide what stats or skills the pet would use myself. All too often do I wish my bear had “mighty roar” rather than “enfeebling roar” or my owl had more toughness at the cost of precision.

…I wish pets were truly useful to the point where they felt like they were half of your character. If that wasn’t possible, give them evolution trees where they feel more unique, as in GW1. And if you can’t do THAT, then LET THEM KEEP THEIR NAMES WHEN I CHANGE THEM AROUND XD.

Wish for a pet type though? Racing Beetles, or a Hermit crab I can call Citizen Snips.

I wish all Ranger pets in GW2 would disappear permanently, forever…they are a utter waste of space and the main reason why Rangers are such a joke class in GW2.

As for a wish of improvement, like Rayean said pet should feel like it’s an extension of yourself, they should be able to do some tasks on their own. For example in pvp pets ninja caping points. Ranger two places at once OP?, I don’t think a pet would be able to solo something that is not an npc. Neither a ranger would. Pets need to be more than gimmicky dps.

I want a rat, a fat evil looking rat (red eyes or get outta mah face)!

Skill 1 (F2): Leaps at your foe and knocks it down for 3sec
Skill 2 (auto): Low to medium damage, fast attacks with 10% of inflicting poison
Skill 3: Weakens your target for 10sec
Skill 4: Dazes your target for the next two attacks (1sec daze per attack)

Give me something useful like that already!!!

This is true.. they kinda are gimmicky DPS. I don’t play PvP, but that sounds cool.. As for mechanics-based Pet wish in PvE: I wish they stayed NEXT to you, not 15 ft in front, only attacked enemies if you used F1 or HIT a target & the F2 skill was instant.

you can set them to passive and they’ll do that. mind, the instant-cast f2 would be nice.

As for a personal wish, I’d love to see larger pets, like a drake broodmother or a siege devourer. but since those aren’t going to happen (likely) I’d settle for my rainbow phoenix from GW1 or a raptor

I thought about this for a few days,…and my wish….

I Wish Anet would Replace the Magic Find stat with a Profession Attribute Bonus.
Make it small, like no more than 20 total for your armor and 20 total for your trinkets, and 5 total for your weapons.

There, Pets have a 450 point bonus to each of their primary attributes; other classes have a 45% bonus to their Profession Attribute. It just requires that one of your three armor stats be replaced with it! I think its a fair trade! Anyone else agree?

oh wait, a wish for a new pet…..I want a Skale! Those Fish/Reptile/Salamander looking things are Awesome looking!

Griffon
Raptor
Skelk
Scale
Wurm
Deer/Goats

Why should they be any different?

Any pet that gives me a bonus to something when I put it on passive, so that it is useful in dungeons and large scale wvw, where the only pets alive are the ones on passive.

Stuff, like, If I put the Fern Hound on Passive, then regenerates health slowly for me and it, like the Signet of the Wild does? Or I put the Eagle on Passive, then I get a small chance to apply bleeding with every attack? Bear would improve my toughness, etc?

Because if pets could have a bonus for being on Passive, that would be kind of Awesome. Makes more sense than my idea!

I miss the lions/lionesses from elona.. was my favorite pet!

I wish that they increase the melee range for pets by 200 so that it can actually hit moving targets. Does that count as a valid wish?
