Melee Trap Build?
I’m thinking that Rabid does not go with melee very well due to the total lack of power, you need some power at least imo.
We’ll have to wait and see what they change on traps, but like Heim said, it’s unlikely. Traps are all condition damage and our melee weapons are all power (GS) and mostly power (Sword). You can get away with using one melee weapon for survivability, but using both? I doubt it, unless they make traps do a serious amount of direct damage.

I think if you going condi then stick to condi with new changes hybrid not worth it and that goes for other classes also (pure builds have more weight to them)

and yes I’m aware of that was talking about axe/torch and sword/dagger by saying ’’melee’’ weapons. Don’t forget poison and burning now stack intensity(more condi damage) not duration.
Well, you could make a perfectly viable hybrid/condi build with GS-S/T and traps.
With burning now stacking, Bonfire just got a whole lot better! Combine with Vipers Nest and Swoop for much yay.
