Guild Wars 2

this is one of the most effective ranger build ive played so far. I’m sure many of you figured it out by now. I think this will be the way to play LB, at least until druid comes out.

the build really has everything. condi clearing, stun breaking, all that boon stacking goodness (25 might, 16s quickness, perma swiftness, stab), in addition to insane survivability, 8k rapid fires, 2.5k autoattacks, etc. pets to taste. if youre daring, you could swap out one trait line for marks. evasive purity for windbourne notes.

Playing Almont in same build, but with berserker amulet.
In high tier pvp, rapid never goes more than 6k.
In custom arenas it’s cool, but in ranked it’s not so awesome.

marauder is the way to go =)

oh I just left that open. air/fire on LB as usual, energy/air on sword/wh. there could be better combinations, I was lazy.

Actually that build has pretty bad condition removal xD You are also very weak on defense and mobility because you sacrificed GS for sword/horn.

2 condi clears is plenty, I haven’t needed more since the June 23rd patch. but you can always grab entangle. mobility is actually insane, with high quickness uptime, sword/LR and perma swiftness. you could go GS, but then you cant stack might. I believe u can get 25 stacks just from casting SotP —> Hunter’s Call —> WHaO

oh yeah I guess that is a bit overstated to a peasant. for me, it’s a lot of survivability. mostly due to quickness and the extra evades, which I didn’t have before =)

Gonna try that in WvW.

Currently, Jungle Stalker F2 + WH5 + WHaO gives an instant 24 stacks of might for 18seconds so theres a 12second period that it doesnt cover (SotP should cover this period nicely at least for the 1st rotation)
Jungle Stalker is not fundamental for this build to work but it decreases the ramp-up time to basically 0 and the only major cooldown you waste is your heal so pet management will be very important(Fire Wyvern with 1-2 blasts can replace it in HoT)

Could drop SoR + SotP for Entangle and Quickening Zephyr/Lightning Reflexes and take WK instead of EB.
Will test to see which gives better sustain/bursts.

Plan to go with MM/NM/Druid with WHaO + 2-3 signets + Glyph Elite (maybe) in HoT.

I use the same WS and NM trait distribution but in BM i take timbre, GS and zephyr. Play with HaO, QZ, LR, SoS and Ent.

Start off with wolf and tag an enemy and swap to stalker right away. F2, QZ, HaO and thats 21 might for the ranger. GS is better when you are outnumbered or running away.

you probably want QZ so u can stack quickness with WHaO.

Will probably drop SotW for QZ and keep SotP as the stab.
With this build, you get 18s of quickness with a 42s downtime.
