As the Topic states, what’s the bare minimum healing power for SOTW to be effective? I understand that there’s no right answer, but I’d just like to get some opinions.

Currently still working out the kinks in my gear setup, so thanks in advance.

Around 600 healing power (like 610-620) is the first time you’ll get 100+ hp per tick of SoTW. It’s a good place to start imo, if you’re focusing on healing. If not really focused on it but still want the bonus, my personal point for it is around 400-500.

I’m going for a Knight’s- Cleric -Berserk mix- i would go calvary instead of knight’s, but fractal rng hasn’t been too kind to me. My current setup is full cleric’s at about 1300 Healing Power , but as pet a.i hasn’t really grown on me yet, I’m switching out some survivability pieces for personal damage without giving up toughness. Afterall, toughness is what keeps you going when you can’t dodge /are unable to. Keep the opinions coming, its helps!

yea, 600 healing power nets you 98 HP/SEC. 650 nets ya 101. Regeneration boons also give me 205 hp/sec at 600 HP vs 280 hp/sec at 1200 HP.That’s probably what I’ll go for if I don’t get a good set of opinions by the end of this discussion

If you’re pvping, I’d say 800 is minimum, (and high toughness). Otherwise you’d probably be better off getting more toughness/offense.

1) Only 1 sigil with a cooldown may be used at once per weapon set. This means no energy and battle combo, pick 1.
2) I suggest picking up sword cooldowns in wilderness and dropping 5 points in BM.
3) I suggest using Ascended trinkets for crit damage before you pick armor/weapons for them since they have a higher crit damage to stat ratio.
4) This is very similar to the build i use, is it based off my build?

The cool down is fairly long to use it for just the pet . You want to use it with a signet build that does not need HP . But if you are looking to use it on passive mode , i would recommend a minimum of 1100 HP

1) :O phoo! Didn’t know that! I guess I’ll go for bloodlust stacks then.
2) Good Point! I forgot that I don’t have as much healing power anymore, at 800 HP 10%’s only a 80 power boost.

It saves me from using my badge treasure hoard- now I can hoard them for my alts lol. On the bad side it’ll deplete my laurel reserve xd Wish I hadn’t gotten the bottom row cleric trinkets now heh

4) I dunno, is it? I’ve only come onto forums thus far to ask for build tweaking advice- The build itself is something me and a few buddies came up with – maybe some of them got it from you? I was running the standard 30/30/30 bunker before getting kitten ed off with my pet lol. I felt rather useless when my pet died. Switched to 15/15/15/30 , but still felt kinda lacking damage wise. Asked my mighty ranger squad for help- And thus that’s how i reached this point. Kudos to you if your build inspired my friends to help form this current version of my build though!

Thanks for all the opinions! Once I gather enough feedback from this discussion- I’m probably gonna make this my permanent set for everything – unless areanet balance team decides to nerf pet damage again- I’ll just go knight’s gear/cavalier trinkets at that point

as far as calculations goes; SotW grants 62 hp/sec + 0.06*healing power

This translates to roughly 16.66 healing power for each HP/sec. In order for the signet to do something useful, you need to get up to around 100HP/sec, that means you need 48*16.66 = 799.68 healing power at MINIMUM.
