heya heya Rangers, Since the patch ive been experiencing some strange things. My heal and my elite arent firing while in combat, i have to hit the keys 3 or 4 times to get them to work. which in the middle of a fight is awful.

Im using the Naga mouse. if anyone has some advice it would be wonderful as im super frustrated right now.

Only time I experience that is with lag during the world boss fights. Other than that, I have not experience what you have outlined. I’m using the epic naga, but all my 1-0 skills are on my Nostromo. F1-4 are on my naga.

yeah this is not skill lag. its like the button isnt even being pushed. i was killing a yak and drinking my rock star and got jumped by a trap ranger who was just running in circles casting traps. and my entangle and my healing spring wouldnt go off. i had to smakitten 7-8 times to get each to fire.

and its been happening since the patch. maybe i need to update my naga or something but its driving me insane.

You don’t have it setup to auto update?? There was an update applied yesterday or the day before I think. Could be wrong, though.

hmmm ill take a look and see if i missed an update. Nothing gets under my skin more then things not working correctly and causing you to lose or be at a detriment to your team.

if anyone using a naga has some insight feel free to let me know whats up.

I don’t use a naga, but I have had some issues with utility skills and at times rams or arrow carts since the patch, where I think what’s happening is that I’m spamming the skill key to use it too fast and I cancel the skill with itself.

Generally, I’ve noticed it happening for my Spirits a lot, but it wasn’t doing it before the update. Maybe I need to learn to slow to my APM and trust single presses to eliminate the issue, but it really shouldn’t be an issue lol.

yeah im looking for updates for my mouse and it seems to be up to date. its strange that this has only started happening since the most recent patch. and even stranger it only happens in combat. when im out of combat everything fires off like normal.

I think they slipped a macro skill chain for my GS with the patch. I noticed this last night when I was roaming with my guildies in WvW: When I’m in combat chasing/fighting someone, if I use swoop right after using it hilt bash activates (unless it’s on cooldown) without me using the skill myself. It just automatically does it. It’s helpful if I happen to be chasing someone, but if I’m trying to escape and there’s enemy near me it just gets me into trouble. Anyone else experiencing this or am I just slowly turning into a robot? Or maybe the force is strong in me?

a macro? no i havent experienced that. but i just went in again to make sure im not crazy. out of combat , no issue at all. when im in combat if im moving or have recently cast an ability my heal and my elite wont fire.

I don’t think it’s your mouse. I’ve noticed some skills aren’t firing when I hit several of them in rapid succession since the patch. I’ll hit RAO and a couple signets or warhorn 5-4 to open a fight, then a few seconds later notice that RAO never fired despite being the first thing I hit.

Now that you mention it, I’ve had healing spring do it too, again in combination with another skill. I think they tweaked something with how command queue up.

yeah, i lost a fight against a really kittened ranger because of my heal and elite not going off , in conjunction with a yak and guards pounding on me. when i saw my elite had not gone off i was like…really…then had to heal and it diddnt go off either.

if any other people are experiencing this please let me know.

Noticed my pet f2 are more buggy/not working when hit first time more than usual. Maybe just me >_>

You’re using a Razer product, there’s the problem right there.

Get a Logitech G600. You’ll never look back.

ive used the logitech mice and i prefer the naga to it. I also had a lechesis that i really liked too. I dont think its my mouse acting up because it only started with this last patch. almost like the skill queue system has gone wonky.

Im going to keep an eye on it tonight in my skirmish group and see what the deal is. i will also try a different mouse just as a baseline.

I have a Naga as well and was having the same problems a few weeks back. However, the problems of skills not firing have went away for me. That leads me to believe it could be certain skills within the game. To be sure I tore apart my mouse and tested all the buttons. I did multiple tests in other games. All checked out ok.

About the same time problems went away i was using a completely different build so almost all skills were different. Thats what made me think the skills maybe have something to do with it.

I’ve had similar problems with the shortbow, especially the number 2 skill. In particular, if you have autofire on and you use quickening zephyr and immediately follow it up with the number 2 skill, it cancels itself making it go on cooldown. A nagging problem to say the least.
