Moas can hardly hit a moving target yet they are a great utility pet for their possibilities with F2s and their healing. However, the healing is uncontrollable, the pet has no damage when it does manage to hit something and the F2 really isn’t THAT worth it. Also, half the F2s have to face their target to hit them with the short range this makes the moa useless as a pet. Any suggestions to buff the moa?

Note: Can’t believe they nerfed moa dmg last patch.

I can’t believe the amount of QQ’ing from PvPers that caused the pet nerf in the first place.

I use red Moa on passive for fury. That’s it as far as birds go.

Moa’s are absolute trash. And you’re right, anet nerfing their damage was literally so stupid. I mean I can’t even comprehend why they would nerf a pet who is NEVER used aside from their f2. The only time I swap out a moa is for the fury buff when I’m running some dungeons, but aside from that, I don’t use them and anyone who does is missing out on a lot of dps potential.

Moas have a really really good skill set…. it’s a kitten shame their AI doesn’t use it very well…

Moas are actually the third-highest DPS pet, after birds and felines. The gap is pretty big between felines and moas but moas are definitely one of the stronger pets.

Moa’s are trash like 80% of all available ranger pets

Wait, what about drakes. I’m fairly certain they hit harder then the moa.

Jaguar and raven nerfs were needed. It was broken. I was able to one shot thieves and mesmers with a GS5 and a raven F2.

Sadly, the damage was easily avoided and the pets were overnerfed imo. However, against people who don’t know how to play I could easily see how infuriating/OP BM could be.

Red Moa’s the only one that’s worth it, the rest need some form of buff to their F2s.

Blue Moa is really good for defensive PvP builds.

Are you forgetting that they took a massive DPS nerf from the last patch? They used to be really good. Like, almost as good as the feline good. Now that are about as much DPS as you would expect from a tanky pet, i.e. not very much.

No… they do a lot of damage, but it’s more on the AoE side. That being said, Moas are still stronger than them in a 1v1 sort of thing.

Sure in PvE the moa might do more damage since it might be AoE? But in any PvP situation with someone who knows how to get their pets to land hits (even drakes, well not the bad drakes) the moa has the worst utilities and damage.

Uh… if you have your moa and your wolf just auto attack the golems and not help it in any way, it will deal more damage, we are not saying that Moas are better than wolves, or even drakes, in terms of their skill set.

If you looked at the posts you’d see that everyone here is in agreement moas need help…
