Moment of Clarity?
It creates an attack of opportunity (150% damage for one attack) when you interrupt another character. The buff it provides is similar to what you would see from the active ability from Sigil of the Hunt.
TBH, I think it’s absolute rubbish for a master trait.
I second it is rubbish. The rest of the Skirmish tree is amazing.
if it’s just 150% dmg for one attack and only on interrupt I think I agree with you on that point.
What’s sad is that they replaced the trait that gave us Zephyr at 25% health with this. Its too difficult to reliably utilize this trait.

It is not actually 150% its 50%, its the same attack of opportunity buff granted by Signet of the Hunt. The tool tip is wrong. They also don’t stack because they are the same buff.
It also increases stun and daze duration by 50%. Which is kinda useless since the normal ranger stun/dazes are only 1 sec.. Unless you happened to roll an Asura ranger and use the Technobabble skill (3 sec daze becomes 5 or 6 sec with the right build).
The trait would be good if rangers were as good of interrupters as they were in GW1, but seeing as how that’s not even close to the case it’s pretty lame…
Keep in mind though, the bonus is NOT a crit so you can essentially “double crit” with the skill, I like to use SB + GS (with sig of int on sword) stun with the Sb via concussion shot (I run muddy terrain so getting behind them is nothing), swap to sword and maul their kitten for PUNS OF DAMAGE!

I don’t see why it has an ICD when mesmers get 5 stacks of might for 12 seconds (minimum) and then a random boon EVERY INTERRUPT with no ICD. That’s a master trait while Moment of Clarity is a grandmaster. Just seems silly to me.

It can be ok I guess with the LB/GS build. Point Blank for interrupt. GS Swoop at 50% more damage. Hilt bash for interrupt. Maul at 50% more damage.
It only helps a few specific skills.
Has anyone tested if it works with say the active ability of Storm Spirit? Now that could be classic!

moment of clarity also doubles the duration of ALL stuns you do (oh is a ranger with a lightning hammer and Moment of Clarity kittening OP) , and increases the duration of ALL dazes by 50%, that alone is really strong…

Hey all I see is skill 5 on short bow and greatsword, lightning reflexes, what else? longbow 4 and the target is far out to do much about it. Could be worth it in PvP 1v1 fights though and some roaming if you can put up with it, still rubbish.

Possibly Axe 4 – Path of Scars if you’re lucky.

This trait IS weak by itself. We shouldn’t need the help of another class to make it worthwhile. A-net is a creative bunch, I’m sure they can think up a good replacement.

Hilt Bash, Concussion Shot, Throw Rock (boar), Skull Crack (boar) all benefit from the increase, that being said I fully agree, we should get more interrupts, or just a better trait as a whole…0

Wait, we have 2 dazes/stuns. But we have more interrupts. If the ability ONLY increased your stun/interrupt by 100% (post 10th) then I would agree this is weak. BUT, it also allows you AND your pet to have 50% more damage on your next attack. Then, it will trigger on the activity of a pet too which adds more interrupts and a couple which are controllable F2s. Good ability with the knockdowns of the hyena.
The key is this ability works only with some weapons and some pets effectively. You want to be able to deliver a big attack on cue.
The attack of opportunity part should be replaced with “reset weapon swap cooldown on interrupt”, then it will be a good trait.

WikiInterrupts caused by your pet do not trigger the effect.
It sucks and doesn’t/never deserve to be in the grandmaster tier in the first place. They keep adjusting this trait bit by bit but still useless.

The only skill that can take advantage of the damage increase is maul..
Great trait on the wrong class. Would be OP on warriors.. but on Rangers with no real burst skill and minimal stuns? Meh.

Would even work on D/P thieves.. HS then go for a BS with +50% damage.. oh hell no.
