There may already be a post for this, but I was not willing to go back hundreds of pages to find one.

While I enjoy the ranger pets already in game, there are a few that I would like to see added. Every time I run into certain creatures, it almost saddens me to not have access to taming one. I have searched online to try and come up with a more full list than just three or four.

-Sheep / Ram
-Llama
-Moose
-Dolyak
-Marmox
-Deer / Stag
-Coyote
-Bat
-Warg
-Crab
-Sea Turtle
-Tiger / White Tiger
-Wurm / Grub
-Karka
-Raptor
-Skale
-Skelk
-Raptors (jungle/eagle)
and then
-Griffon
-Minotaur

What do you guys think? I know some will not be considered (such as the griffon or minotaur) because they could be classified as more sentient than “regular creatures”. I would agree with you… if this were a different game. In this game, they seem to be just another beast, so that is why I put them on this list.

You should sort them into the existing groups. For example a tiger would be really easy to add in the feline family since you just need to come up with 1 skill.

Maybe we get one new family in HOT ( here is hoping raptors) but I doubt it will be more than 1.

I’m hoping Raptor that has a smoke field F2, then you can pop the F2 and clarion bond swap/CotW for stealth… dreaming, I know…

I would wet myself if taming a griffon was possible. Owl griffon’s, too.

Pretty sure there is a tiger-like cat in the game we can’t tame, but the actual name eludes me atm. Some of the others listed by the OP would be fabulous, too: Raptor, Minotaur, Warg, Stag.

How kittening sexy would it be to have a white STAG pet for your DRUID!?

I just wish they’d ditch the pet system and start again from scratch with one that’s good. Kinda similar to the WoW system. You see a beast you like? Cool, go tame it. The possibilities! Destroyer Crab pet? Suits you, sir. Risen Hawk pet? Yes please!

the taming system should be a core Feature of Ranger were we could just tame anything and after taming it we get its f2 and stats window.
that would also mean if you pick a pet in the wild you can’t just swap it out it stays as a part of you just like gw1 , and if you want a certain pet you’d go out and find it.

that way they can assign a pet type to every tameable creature in the game for PvE and WvW , though in Pvp we would still have a Select choice of pets.

taming shouldn’t be a Utility.

lore, Defined uniqueness by your choice of pet for PvE and WvW doing so would also effect they way you play so a choice of pet will be highly important rather than oh i’ll just changes pets quick, which also hinders Anets balance since we can just change pets on the fly for other bonuses can be one reason why some areas of ranger are still suffering the Team Support syndrome outside of traits.

if they did this we would see more pets better Ranger Balance since we can’t just change pets on the fly for PvE or WvW , we would ether have to 1 Go find the pet we want to change to in PvE or tame a new one in WvW.

then anet can add a Stable (like WoW) to store our Favourite pets for later use.

and as a insentive Anet i hope your reading , you can add a Pet house or Pet stable to the Guild halls for rangers to use , you could even charge for it i wouldnt mind throwing you 600gems for the convience of storing my Favourite pets in our guild halls.

The Imperial pheonix could be nice from factions. Also, I WANT THE KITTEN CRAB BACK! Rip friend… You been one hell of a kitten, always hitting for 120/480…

They need to ditch the Pigs or re-do them all over, start from scratch.
I wish they would make pets level up and give them skills you could train as they level .
I would like to see more Aquatic Pets maybe a Dolphin or Barracuda.

Can I have a pet guardian? that deals 5k burns on f2?
