Guild Wars 2

Hello all,
I recently started playing a ranger and I am trying to gather all the pets ASAP. I am kind of a completionist, so I am going to acquire all the pets, excluding Hall of Monuments pets, even if I never use them in any build. I’m really familiar with the game (2 level80s with 100% map completion), but I wonder if someone has taken the time to map out a path for a low level character to get all the pets with minimal leveling. That way I can try out as many pets as I level and be comfortable/proficient with their different mechanics by the time I reach endgame.

And yes, I know the Wiki has a page on pet locations, but that’s like a blast from a fire hose when all I want is a sip of water.

Interesting idea… cant help you though. I’m guessing there may be some that are difficult to get to at low levels but I might be wrong.

If you’re feeling particularly nice you might want to take it on yourself to make up a guide.

Get at least 1 pet of each family: Bear, Feline, Canine, Drake, Bird, Porcine, Spider and Devourer.
Each pet in each family is exactly the same, except for 1 special skill (F2). You can get a great feel for their automated skills, range and general survivability this way. The special skill (F2) can make or break a pet though.

I would say do map completion and check the wiki to know which pet are where in the zone you completing.

Thanks for the feedback. I might just start out with one pet from each family as suggested…. or attempt a death run through a high-level area for some of the peskier pets. Still not decided yet.
