Faelwan and Chuck killed the same veteran risen giant in ~25s, as shown. This was actually my second take as I forgot to hit record the first time.

*Edit: On the official forums, on another thread, jk scoffed because I wasn’t killing Giganticus Lupicus. This is a measurement of burst damage, not a skill challenge. I suspect a pro ranger could do very well against GL too but that wasn’t really my intention here. I mean, let’s talk about builds, let’s talk about what we mean by “burst”, or even strategies to use against a particular boss (GL dodge grubs elementary evasion), but don’t miss the point. Honestly, I can’t justify expending money on fraps (it’s demo, notice the www.fraps.com at the top) just to prove that I can solo GL. I think any player skilled at his or her profession can solo GL. Now you know my beliefs; save yours for Arah guidelines on your profession specific forum.

Now with that out of the way, let’s talk about burst damage and what it means to speed and/or “gold farming” runs such as CoF path 1.
