Natures Ninja and Pain Inverter – Ranger PvP movies

I’ve changed up my build some what, and went back to some older food types
This is the current setup i’m running, Big change is the dropping of Natures Healing for Keen Edges and the picking up of Sharpening Stone.
Sharpening Stone honestly is kind of optional as if you need to you can run Signet of Renewal. Thing i’m finding though is Burst damage is incredibly low right now cause Weakness is just so powerful. Warriors can 100b and do nothing….Conditions builds might give you trouble though if you don’t have it, So its you should probably be willing to switch if you need to (pull off from the fight to switch if having trouble)
Otherwise I’d recommend not opening with Sharpening Stones, Mainly cause you’re going to want to use Split blade at the start of the fight before they hit 50%, Which means it’ll eat your Sharpening Stones if you’re not careful (I’ve not checked to see if they fixed it eating all the hits) But generally I wait till they get past the 50% mark and have popped my Talent version and letting it run its course before doing the Ability one..This is 10 stacks of bleeds you apply very quickly (to go along with the 11 you normally could apply) Think of it as quasi Bleed Burst.
Birds of course are being used, and Blind is fairly lame right now, so Raven’s Blind is actually pretty decent despite the damage nerf.
Food I’ve switched from Mango Pie’s back to Rare Veggie Pizza for the 40% it gives (10% from power line) for the 50% duration bonus, This will buff most of your abilities to 6 and 9 seconds duration which is good.
Anyway try it out, see if you like it.
Split Blade is still eating all the Sharpening Stone’s Bleeds (while only applying 1) so be careful when you time using Split Blade.
im not certain how i feel about your point distribution, the 10 up top and 20 in bm i think ( atleast after the patch) is not well spent.
and something that caught my eye. you dont want stat adding sigils on both sets of weps..its a waste of a spot to add ( fill endurance on kill) or something similar. Just put the stat builder on your axe set..you can rack up your 25 stacks in a couple min with the A1 bounce.

Yea its just preference, Mainly cause I don’t sit around and kill Coyote’s to get Healing Charges up. Charges I get are generally from when i’m killing stuff in camps or players..But yea if you want to kill Coyote’s you can put Endurance fill on the dagger.
Keen Edges also isn’t that bad now, Fairly useful..I personally don’t like the Shout Guard build because I find it annoying, and I have enough Regen as it is, and thanks to that god awful swoop…Swiftness as well.
Tagging for addition to Compilation Thread later
I’ll edit this later when I add it.
Do you want me to remove your other BM Bunker build?
Edit: Added to the compilation thread!

Ewww birds, Im still sticking with Wolf/Jag for my Condi Bunker build in sPvP.

As this point with the way weakness is in PVP, I could be using a dead horse and still be effective

If 20 in bm with birds was good before patch then it would be just as good now they actually got buffed remember aside from the F2 burst.
I do think 10 skirmishing would be better though and Pet’s Prowess unless you need exactly 50% condi duration seems 40% would be just as good you lose 1 tick on geomancy what else? 1tick on burn, can’t really think of anything else of significance, while the bleed burst would be nice seems bigger petcrits still trumps that to me especially birds wich can do very big double crits on slash when they aren’t flopping around that is.
10 in Marksman is to pickup Keen Edges
It + Sharpening Stone is a 10 stack of bleed burst..
This goes along with the normal 11 stacks you can do.
I’ve killed quite a few people this patch doing this combo…No on expects to basically instantly eat 21 stacks of bleeds.

Yeah I got that I can see it working pretty well, it’s just me not liking long cds of this kind over permanent buffs, for example one cleanse and you’re left with nothing from that trait for 45 seconds while 30% on petcrit gives you constant damage on a pet that crits nearly every attack like birds do.
If i’m not killing them in under 2 minutes, chances are the 30% crit talent isn’t going to help.
i just switched natural healing for Zephyr . using birds as well . normal 0 0 30 10 30 build with apo armor.
yeah I wouldn’t really call that a bunker build
wait…. the OP’s build isn’t bunker enough?
I see other picked up on birds to, nuts!
Rofl, Seems I don’t know what a Bunker build actually is grin
Been giving this a try when I’ve had the time to get on. The bleeds are ridiculous thanks to the improved keen edge trait. I’ve been running it with full Settler’s/Forge runes, and dual spiders.
Weakness is fun.
Yea, at this point I think I could run this build with Forge Runes as well just because Weakness.
I might try it, I have a set with it.

It’s almost impossible to get the settlers set anymore. It’s unfortunate that I missed the southsun event..:(
Gave this build a shot tonight with only some slight variances due to me being completely friggin broke and not being able to afford switching a few things around, and was loving it. Performs well, has decent damage output for the survivability, and don’t think I lost any 1v1’s or even 1v2’s, and could just back out of anything higher than that if I started running into trouble. Pretty good for a solo/small group roam build.

For this reason, I don’t use the trait that procs sharpening stone. It is easy to notice when it is up during a duel, but I can’t tell you how many times I’ve hit splitblade just as I notice the proc during an open free-for-all skirmish.
Instead I use the minor trait that increases condition duration for pets and run dual canines (as per your original BM bunker video guide). I’ve found the CCs from canines to be a lifesaver in 1vX situations.
Any updates on this or variants of this build?
Instead I use the minor trait that increases condition duration for pets
I was looking into the potential of a bleed-stacking pet build the other day and found some odd stuff about it.
At first I thought Malicious Training wasn’t giving the +50% condition duration the wiki says it does, but that wasn’t what was happening.
Basically:
With no trait points spent, pet management window says lynx Maul inflicts 10-second bleed. Tested in combat and it does.
With 20 points spent in Marksmanship but no traits slotted, pet management window now says lynx Maul inflicts a 12 second bleed. Tested in combat and it’s still only 10 seconds because the lynx doesn’t get the +20% condition duration I get by spending trait points in Marksmanship.
20 points spent in Marksmanship and Malicious Training slotted, pet management window still says lynx Maul is a 12-second bleed. Tested in combat and it’s actually 15 seconds, because the pet is now getting +50% condition duration, not the +20% I have.
Also on the subject of pet condition builds, Expertise Training works like Spotter and only gives its bonus when the pet is in combat. If you enter combat with the pet management window open you’ll see the 350 condition damage applied to the pet as soon as you command it to attack something. That was confusing too and I thought at first it didn’t work at all, since I can no longer see condition damage ticks inflicted by my pet since the last patch.
So the pet management window is buggy and annoying, but apparently Malicious Training and Expertise Training do actually work like the wiki says they do.
This is all highly tangential but I figure it’s relevant to the new line of thinking in Beastmaster builds. Have fun making your lynx bleed people out.

Hey, now, they can clear conditions. Also, with -condition duration runes and food, the weakness doesn’t stick for too long. But I definitely am enjoying the change.

If running Malicious Training, use Snow Leopard, the thing gives like an 8 or 9 second chill….Its pretty silly.
I generally watch health in the fights… When It gets near 50% i hold off on using Split Blade….I know its a kitten and it does take timing but the pay off is worth it..
I really wish they’d just fix Split Blade though, but since this has been known since november of last year.. and been reported since then…Its pretty obvious Anet doesn’t care.

Its a bit more offensive then Hyjaxx’s build…
I’ve caught a few people offguard with it that weren’t expecting that many bleed stacks so quickly.
