The Beastmastery Traitline offers great minor traits, but the majors tend to be poor, redundant, or needlessly restrictive. As such, here is my redesigned tree.

Adept:

Strength Training
Pet skills deal 5% more damage and recharge faster. Damage effects F2.

Shout Mastery
Shouts grant a boon to your pet and recharge faster. (Sick Em = several stacks of Might, Protect Me = Protection, Guard = Retaliation, Search and Rescue = Stability).

Mighty Swap
Pet’s gain might on swap.

Master’s Bond (reworked)
You have a commanding aura. Each time you kill something, you give your pet bonus stats. Resets when YOU are downed. Does not reset on pet swap.

Defensive Training
Your pet has increased vitality, toughness, and healing power.

Offensive Training
Your pet has increased power, precision, and condition damage.

Master:

Commanding Voice
F2 skills recharge 20% faster and have a bonus effect based on the pet. (Such as the current Bird/Moa/Jellyfish AoE vigor buff).

Rending Attacks
Pets cause bleeding on critical hits.

Pet See, Pet Dodge
Pets dodge when you do.

Natural Healing
You and your pet restore some health each second.

Grandmaster

Shaman’s Strength
You gain 5% of your pets stats.

Strength of the Master
Your pet gains 5% of your stats.

Reasoning

The new traits are meant to be more helpful to a wider variety of builds. Many traits are combined to free up slots for other things and encourage different pet combinations (rather than the current, poorly designed system that causes traits to only effect certain pets).

Natural Healing was moved to the Master rank to free up room for 2 new
Grandmasters, which are more interesting and would be potentially overpowered if used together.

These new Grandmaster traits basically create 2 different playstyles (or at least builds) based on the player’s mindset. They also improve gear-scaling for the Ranger class.

Beastmaster’s Bond was reworked to better fit the swap-centric style of the minor traits.

Overall, my goal here was heavy amounts of trait compression (which is always a good thing) and more effective options for the Ranger profession that make up for some of its unfortunate shortcomings.

Don’t think Pet See, Pet Dodge would work, maybe just make it something around the lines of “When you dodge your pet blocks attacks for X seconds” kinda like how the NPCs in the heart of the mists work when they “dodge” .

I’m also not sure how Commanding Voice would work, could you be a little more indepth on what you’re going for with the added boon?

They sing dark, delicious notes about power and family.
As their mother, I have to grant them their wish. – Forever Fyonna

Good idea.

Commanding Voice is largely a combination of the current pet-specific traits (with the exception of the bleed on crit trait). Birds, Moas and Jellyfish would grant AoE vigor, Bears and Armorfish would grant AoE stability for a short duration, etc. There is also the potential to rework them into new mechanics rather than the current ones.
