Hallo ranger community, my first post here so please be kind as ranger is a new profession for me.

There has been always loads of negative talk around ranger so at start I was hesitant in making one..but in the end I decided to make one against (what thought it was) my better judgment.

No! Longbow ranger was not what attracted me to ranger ^^, yes the idea of sniping people from 1200+ range is indeed fun, ofc I tried LB ranger but…I didn’t find much success on it, in general I’m not a huge fan of glass builds ( thieves/mesmers have taken away all fun )

What really keeps me on ranger is its condi burst potential and self-sustain.
I enjoy the condi survival style and I tried several version of the meta survival builds, with the revamped trait system, I was able to find a condi survival build that suits me and I’d like to share this build with you guys for comments and suggestions.

Major points of this build:

-Tough to bring down
-Can hold against 2 power spec for enough time
-Viable team support (nothing crazy but works for me at this level)
-Nice duellist, a pain in the kitten in general
-Good mobility

-note- I like the eagle because of the evasiveness and rapid bleed re-application to keep pressure on the enemy

Looks like a nice build. I run something similar. I do think you would benefit more if you take the blind and taunt for your pet. You can spam the blind with the eagle. I would also suggest taking the wolf instead of the spider. Cripple, knockdown, and fear, it’s really good in spvp.

Thanks for sharing, I was looking for a nice apothecary build. I agree with your thoughts on ranger. Try taunt when you get a chance. Your pet needs to be close for it to work, so you’ll have to swap your spider for something else. Maybe a kitty (I enjoy Lynx) or dog. Taunt is very powerful when it hits, the enemy kinda looses control and you can hit them with splitblade or anything else you want to land.

We Heal As One works great as a heal and you can cast it anytime to get swiftness, to cover distance. That might free up a utility for you.
