Just to see what all you rangers are doing, I’d like to have anyone who’s interested to post in this thread three things:

1.) If this is for PvP, PvE, or WvW

2.) Your favored Rune/orb setup

3.) Your general play style

Try your best to stay general without going too much into details. I’m mostly interested to see how people’s choice of Runes and orbs relate to their play style (whether it’s for combat efficiency, affordability, or even role-playing purposes).

PvE – Superior Rune of the Ranger : Playstyle = 20/25/0/25/0 berserker/spirit with sword/warhorn and axe/axe

WvW::All kinds of stuff; Settler’s for frontlines, valkryie or carrion for midlines, rampager or berserker for backlines

Sometimes I swap stuff out:

Sometimes my LB becomes a Sword/Dagger
Sometimes my LR becomes Signet of Renewal
and
Sometimes my Adept WildernessSurvival trait becomes WildernessKnowledge

Some may say this build is bad, but it’s worked wonders with me so far.

i run this setup atm. It works, it just works. Zerging, roaming, somehow, it works!!!

PvP – Undead Runes – Condi Spam
PvE – Knights (Melandru)
Soldier (Altruism)
Berserker (Ranger)
Apothecary (Dwayna)
Rabid (Undead)

Undead runes because rabid gear + undead runes = ~+100 condition damage

Wvw = Melandru runes + Lemongrass all the way with the necro spam meta
Any combination of gear that gets you around 2k toughness/3k armor
Signets or gtfo
Melee train with gs and try not to be rally bot

1) All
2) Mercy
3) Offensive + Rez kitten Powers ACTIVATE!!

Other options:
Condi (Nightmare)
Solo Tanky (Melandru)
Balls to the Wall DPS (Scholar)

Undead for trapper, Rubi orbs for LB zerker, Dwayna for sprit/regen build which i currently run the most

PvE Mainly

Eagle runes currently, though I’m planning to switch to Scholar runes for a stronger Maul on my GS.

Dungeon-running mostly, I’m definitely a lot more effective than when I was playing a kitten cond/power build before I decided to really look into making myself a real power build.
