Nature Spirits - PLEASE FIX
unbound spirits needs to be a master trait, that would help with build diversity.
Still waiting for them to fix spirits. I mean, let’s examine what a spirit even is:
spir·it
?spirit/Submit
noun
1.
the nonphysical part of a person that is the seat of emotions and character; the soul.
How are they even able to take damage? IF NOTHING ELSE, keep them as they are, just remove health bar and intangible. Keeps procs the same.

I think its always been amaster trait

The gm trait would be useless or less useful if this was the case. Can you suggest something on the trait too?
Sounds like you are talking about PvE – “boss AOEs”
If that is the case spirits are usually placed outside of the combat area, but within buff range.
IMO spirits are fine in PVE. They’re not in a good place for pvp though…

Did Anet fixed it or is there lready the problem, that the spirit buffs always the pet and other spirits? So if you have a pet and 3 spirits nobody else except the pet and yourself get the buff.
This was the main reason i will never touch a spirit build.
The instant kill of all spirits by entering/leaving water is so annoying too
Actually since i solo in pve a lot i’m very happy to know my pet gets spirit buffs. We’re could use more sources of burning that don’t tie us to torch (or have torch brough up to levels of other offhands).

Not in a good place for PvP? They’re probably the best ranger build for tPvP, team support out the kitten .
But then again, it’s not like PvP is even alive anymore.

a single cleave will kill every single one of your spirits, the only spirit that’s worth using is ice, and rangers don’t belong in tpvp

They might be the best support build rangers have, but they are not in a good place for tPvP…
The spirits die too easily, have long cast times, long cool downs, and the buffs are weaker than what other classes are now able to provide.
In short, spirit ranger is not the best type of ranger you could bring to a team fight.

Uh, what other ranger build brings support?
Maybe your thinking of glassbow, which doesn’t bring support but highly effective dps, which could be considered support. And I’m not talking about the best specs rangers can bring for a team fight either, just support.
The support ability of rangers has not been changed and spirits are still the best for that. The last few balances patches have been mainly for power rangers aside from a few other buffs. But you know that, and I know you do. Maybe you got your head in the wrong place.

i would argue that spotter brings more to a party than a spirit build
water spirit? our version of ‘heal signets’, but with the ability to die and not every hit
storm spirit? useless, a party has perma swift
sun spirit? every party contains at least 1 ele, or guardian, or shoutbow warrior. all of which bring significantly stronger burns
frost spirit? is estimated to be an approximate +7% dps gain in pve, largely unnoticeable in pvp
stone spirit? has its appeal, guardians already share protection 24/7, most classes have the ability to sustain protection almost 100% of the time solo, and it has that nasty 10s icd that severaly limits its usefulness
spirit of nature? has a lot of potential, if not for its small effective range and the fact that it dies to any random aoe. warbanner outclasses it in every way
it should also be noted that spirit rangers typically have poor builds that do low damage for the sake of slightly higher regeneration(that’s still inferior to the passive healing of a warriors signet), so they also aren’t bringing any pressure to the enemy team
what is spirit ranger bringing that i’m missing? the spirits themselves, at best, are mediocre, with the rest being useless

You need to read my post more carefully.
I agreed that spirits are the best “support”. My point is that no one wants a support ranger.
The best thing a ranger can bring to a team atm is DPS. Or IMO a celestial, natures voice, hybrid which has a better mix of personal dps and some team support.
Spirits are weak.
