I’m looking for a general place to start for a build using SB main and LB second set for PVE and events/champs.

I’m not looking for people saying it’s a terrible idea to dual bow or how bad it is or whatever. I just want to try it out but am terrible at builds.

If I could get just some good basics for traits and gear stats i could probably work out the rest or change it to fit what i want.

Thinking more about probably power and crit builds and less about condition.

… You realize he’s asking for a build that uses Longbow and Shortbow, right? ~.^

I use a 20/25/10/0/15 build, though I also mainline the Longbow. 20 points in Skirmishing for the Quick Draw trait (20% cooldown bonus on bow skills.) and 20 points in Marksmanship for Eagle Eye/Piercing Arrows would be my recommendation.

As for equipment, if you’re looking for a power build, try Knight’s w/ Ruby Orbs and Berserker jewelry/back item. Add a Sigil of Accuracy or Perception and you’re sitting pretty on 60% critical chance for 73% critical damage and about 2100 power.

I run duel Bow and run a 30/30/5/5/0 build. I do very well in PVP and PVE with this build. Lots of dodging nice touch of regen and depending on what you use in the utilities its a solid build.

Sounds good…What gear and weapon stats do you use?

Also what are your 30/30 traits? I assume Quick Draw and?

I am running a berserker gear/divinity runes dual bow build. It’s quite effective with dual battle sigils and constant weaponswap. I am using it for dungeons and pve. Traits and build:

Pure damage build based on swapping between LB/SB to build up might stacks and signets. Signets give some extra damage boosts (25% extra damage + stability every 48secs) and situational invulnerability (signet of stone every 64secs). Also extra dodge through traits (50% endurance regen). Combine the weapswap mightstacks with Signet of the Wild, Rampage as One, your pets’ might-roar, Longbow 3, then rapid fire for a nice burst.

Still leveling but I like to have a build idea to work for as I level.

I have been running dual bow for a few levels now and I like it a lot. I mostly use the SB for single targets. When I get to events with champs I go to LB for 2,3,5 skills then go back to SB for the machine gun speed as well as the bleed and it’s working well.

@Kailen: Might from Sigil of Battle last 20 sec. We can swap weapons every 10 sec – Does this mean when the fight last long enough that I can permanently (as long as I can swap weapons) keep up 25 stacks of might?

A 30/20/20 build might work well. I’ve used it with both bows, but not together. It still gives you the option of pulling out a greatsword and fighting in melee too.

I am using LB/SB with a damage of 3600+ while wielding my LB. my trait might sound different from others with a 30/25/5/10/0. I’ve focused all my stats to damage while relying on dodge in terms of surviving.

Utility: q.z. + Signet of renewal + hunt Elite: rampage as one
(most of the time switching signet to frost spirit depending on the situation)

Superior Sigil of blood lust for LB / Superior Sigil of strength fo SB
just cant get enough of damage

Abuse your range, use SB when stacking(flank!), and press V for Victory!!
