In general pve, gear is more important per se… I’ve used either Dwayna Gear or Apoc gear, both high on survivability… An alive Ranger > dps than a dead ranger in pve. I’ve solo’d champions using bows with a condition build… However, in running dungeons things can be different. I have less experience with dungeon runs.

Gotcha covered. 30/10/30/0/0 with traited signets. I prefer using Greatsword and Longbow. But I do not see any reason you couldn’t use shortbow/sword.

Using berserker gear and sig of stone you can still have around 2400 armor. While still hitting pretty hard.
