New Builds List - [Being Updated]
Poison Master Druid , Tanky cures condis like the wind can stack up to 17 poisons if the target is rooted with staff 4. the burst combo is Glyph>poison trap>drake f2+staff 4>swap>dagger 4 (keeping close to the target put the pressure on) he backs away and tiger Upper cut the f2 on tiger into the fleeing target and dagger 5.
this leaves Astral grace and staff 5+3 and 2 + healing spring free for use anytime , with Poison master in use the pet becomes a source of damage while the target tries to hide from the Staff AA’s causing bleeds ontop of quick draw this makes for fast Water blasts too, so if you feel comfy to swap drudic clarity for something else go for it.
there is no escape from the poison.
note this builder is out of date , the amulet should be Vipers.
note also if you pick Refined toxins and slot a Stun break glyph of equality this improves its Tankyness and allows Staff 4 to cause poison also after swapping to staff if you are at 90% and pet is at 90% this allows 3 poisons to be stacked every pet swap or 4 if both druid and pet are above 90% which is very good for a opening on Staff 4 or staff AA.
on vipers i believe the crit rate will be around the 65% mark though the Amulet in the build Link goes upto 76.6% on a flank but im not sure the extra 11% crit hits is worth it just to power Sharpen edges.

The Direct Damage “Grace of the PVE Land” Druid
Been testing this out for awhile. This is for Rangers that favor direct damage while being a Druid in PVE. The basic goal is simple: Keeping Grace of the Land buff on allies as much as possible while maintaining a focus on direct damage and providing heals for your party.
Note that this is NOT an optimal setup in terms of min/maxing your personal DPS. You can also substitute the Tiger for the Jaguar if you are unable to acquire it from Dragon’s Stand.
Rotation Guideline with Sword & Axe (setup 1):
- Place Frost Spirit.
- Start on Sword & Axe and cast Glyphs of Unity -> Equality -> Empowerment -> Rejuvenation at the start of the encounter. This should proc Verdant Etchings to supply 4 stacks of Grace of the Land on your party.
- [Path of Scars] → Auto Attack (about 2 full rotations) → Weapon Swap → Vine Surge → Astral Wisp → Auto Attack until Celestial Avatar Form is ready → Celestial Avatar Form → Rejuvenating Tides → Cancel Celestial Avatar Force → Astral Wisp → Weapon Swap → Path of Scars → Auto attack until all 4 Glyphs are ready → Cast all Glyphs → Repeat Rotation after “[Path of Scars]”
Alternatively, if you are in a party with a Herald providing Facet of Darkness (Fury) or do not prefer using Sword, you can change out Predator’s Onslaught for Remorseless as your Grandmaster trait in Marksmanship and use a Greatsword instead of Sword & Axe.
Rotation Guideline with Greatsword (setup 2):
- Place Frost Spirit
- Start on Greatsword and cast Glyphs of Unity → Equality → Empowerment → Rejuvenation at the start of the encounter. This should proc Verdant Etchings to supply 4 stacks of Grace of the Land on your party.
- Maul → Auto Attack → Maul → Weapon Swap → Vine Surge → Astral Wisp → Auto Attack until Celestial Avatar Form is ready → Celestial Avatar Form → Rejuvenating Tides → Cancel Celestial Avatar Force → Astral Wisp → Weapon Swap → Maul → Auto Attack → Maul → Auto Attack until all 4 Glyphs are ready → Cast all Glyphs → Repeat Rotation
There is some downtime where Grace of the Land is not present and the build itself, for the most part, is staying withing melee range of your target and with your group (assuming they are all within melee range).
There is also a significant downside in which you are left without any utility after casting all of your Glyphs. Be warned: This is an “all-or-nothing” build to be used with melee & direct damage focused parties/play styles (aka Zerkers).
Notes: Quick Draw will proc upon entering (or exiting – ?) Celestial Avatar Form which can throw things off a bit during actual encounters, so be aware of this. Made some edits on the rotation after more tinkering in-game.
Additional Notes: Have been testing the trait and utility setup with Greatsword + Longbow / Sword & Axe + Longbow with nice results on Astral Force generation without the need for a Staff. I might revise this post completely on that note depending on how patches go.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.

I’ll update this thread with all the Druid builds once things settle down a bit, atm, its just too volatile to add them to the main list without having to go back and change everything once they nerf whatever it is they will nerf next
Added this to Meta Battle earlier today, vote if you have an account

Spirit Support Druid

Druid PvE LB/Staff Spirit Support Build
This is the Druid build I’ve been using. Uses 3 glyphs and two spirits. Works surprisingly well while being split between healing, damage, and toughness.

Here is what I’ve been running in wvw . Had a lot of success with this. It has a lot of damage despite having low offensive stats. Very tanky, lots of might and decent heals.
Some things that I change up / swap are
When running solo I prefer to run omnomberry ghosts and bountiful sharpening stones. The life steal on crit adds to the sustain.
Dragonfish candies when I am in zergs and need to stay alive/do more damage.
I Play WvW to have fun. I don’t find it fun anymore. Therefore I don’t play.

I really like this build but only one problem I have with it is that its mobility is a little slow. Other than that great work!
Not sure how often the other thread gets used anymore…so adding this here as well.
ya it doesn’t.
after heim cried to gaile to have it stickied he updated it for like a month and then let it go. There are no druid builds listed if that says anything on how outdated it is.
Looks like tragic is going to try same thing but don’t expect anything us commoners post to be included, it has to be vetted by them first and so ya…
You can still post your build in the thread. People will see it regardless of what anyone else thinks about it.

Yeah, I never asked for it to be stickied. Gaile did that herself. Get your facts straight before flapping your gums please.
I don’t think you have submitted a build to have posted anyway Justine, perhaps your condi LB one? I cannot remember, but I would add that or any other build that is somewhat different to the ones currently posted.
I just got back from Antarctica and the last thing on my mind is updating threads for a forum. I have a life outside gaming. Since I have just started playing Druid, I wanted time to develop some builds for it before posting them. Plus, the build editor is not updated to reflect the current game.
I’ll go through and add the ones posted along with my own.

Antarctica? Ok I’m curious but I won’t pry. Had a friend that worked there for 6 months as a dispatcher.

Sticky this? 15char Rangers
I have PMed multiple devs about getting it swapped with the “post your build thread” in the sticky, but no replies.
The Remorseless Cavalier link takes one to this page
What the heck?!
Not necro posting, the links need to be correct.
I looked through this thread and I didn’t see a single WvW build that includes staff. Staff is amazing.
Another build type missing – Condi Druid – I know at least a good strong hybrid towards condi + damage mitigation is possible but I can’t find a single one.

I use this for Condi Druid. But it does not include Staff.

If the OP abandoned this thread, it should be archived and certainly not on the main Ranger page as a red above all thread
Thanks for the build. Anet also doesn’t understand that we aren’t getting any notifications for these postings…

Thank you.
I am going to try both builds – the one I am running now, which is piecemeal is good enough for WvW command and frontline, but every edge counts.

There really isn’t another thread, or person for that matter, to post new builds that the op is updated. The real problem is the person who would update it would likely post only what they thought was viable thus interfering with the spirit of such a thread. I see united chi bumps his thread with new builds once in a while but ya its a little much for me to stomache thinking of that being pinned.
I’d love to see these tagged in some way with tank, damage, and support.
Regardless of what some might say there are, in fact, tanks and supports, not everyone does damage all day every day.
Personally, I came here looking for a Ranger Tank build for PVE that’s even possibly raid capable, but I’m not about to go through all of these to figure out whether or not they’d work for what I’m wanting.
The initial List is beyond outdated, can someone fix this

I will update this thread when we get the traits and utilities for Soulbeast, and then update it upon PoF launch. I will not be able to play until December again so I’ll want to be involved with the game while I can’t play. Antarctica again.
I copied all the code for the builds in the list but most of them will go. In order to simplify updating it in future, I will come up with a different format. I just gave up on editing everything every patch. Because I couldn’t add more anyway, each of the posts is at the character limit. So, I won’t be able to add every build submitted, it’s just too much.
It’s quite a bit of work. But I will do it in the coming weeks. Sorry for it being useless for two years guys. That said, I didn’t receive a single PM about it.
Theory crafting Soulbeast builds lately, a bit hard to do when you don’t know most of the traits… But…
PvE D/T & D/WH Hybrid DPS Soulbeast. The Mad Beast?
The swords in the build would be exchanged for daggers. Personally I’d probably play it as D/T and D/WH, but either bow would be a good ranged option. Depending on how Vulture Stance works, perhaps swap QZ out for it. Obviously the GM Soulbeast trait would be Oppressive Superiority, but we’ll have to wait and see what the others can be. Predator’s Instinct in the build editor is Hunter’s Gaze and MDG is Vicious Quarry.
Should be able to stack respectful might on yourself, swiftness, perma Fury and a lot more applications to trigger Remorseless which cripples and applies 5 vulnerability (will stack 25 vuln) as well as hits for 25% more damage and always crits. Will be at 195% crit damage and 65-75% crit chance, with say 3000 power and 1700 condi damage at 15 might.
SotP will always stack 25 might on the pet if there are two mobs within 900 range, without even attacking due to the Mad King runes. They can also stack a lot of AoE bleeds, each bird attacks 16 times, it is essentially a 3 target AoE Hunters Call.
That’ll probably be how I’ll play it to begin with, it’s got some pretty cool combos available, depending on the traits we have not seen as yet.

I feel like maintaining these with the speed at which new patches come out has to be a daunting if impossible task….
