New ES Idea: Feral Seer
I don’t think they will invest the time to make 66 new skills and 55 beastform avatar skins for an elite spec. Condense it down to 2 forms (most likely a melee and mid-range version).

Yeah. Agree. Not going to happen.
Now I don’t like to use this word, but OPs suggestion is impossible.
Just seems like someone took necromancers death shroud (people already complained about druid being too much like death shroud) and just made it four times better. Like already said by others, this is not going to happen.
It is just too much. You should delete some of your ideas. It would be waaaaay too versatile as it is. Too many new skills, a second health bar, passive buffs from your pet. Unlike death shroud, not all your utility skills get disabled….
Many people make this mistake. You can’t just give your ES all benefits you can think of. Choose 1 of them.
I like the idea, but it’s too much to give a class. Cut it down to 3 forms with a specialized niche and you’d be better suited. Bird/condi dps, wolf physical dps, bear/tanky sustain. Wipe out all your utility skills and just give those 3 forms a new set of abilities.
Bird: Bleeds/blinds/cripples/torment and castable swiftness/quickness buff
Wolf: Physical/knockdown/immobilize/fear with castable fury/might
Bear: Condi cleanses/regen/sustain damage and castable protection/stability/resistance buff
3 new skins, 15 new abilities that are already in the game(ish). Just pick a handful and give them some new animations.
Ashen Mistwalker: WvW Tank/Crit Revenant
Oaken Earthlore: WvW Medi/Bunker Guardian
There is many thing that make this idea something that will never happen :
- Way too many skills to design : like some already said there are to many ranger’s pet.
- You just can’t get rid of the pet with a “merging” system : there is way too many traits and skills that need you to have a pet by your side. An ES that go against that would be a nonsense.
- Just leave “Shroud” mechanism to the necromancer. It’s already really flawed, the ranger don’t need 2 flawed mechanisms as specialization’s mechanism. (I honestly got enough of this with the druid thingy)
- Last and not least, we already got shapeshifter in game and we already know it’s crappy. It’s called “norns”.
Overall, I dislike this idea for the very reason that “transform skill” are terribly bad in this game. They should get rid of them instead of introduce more of them. I think what they did with guardian’s tome was a very good start and they shouldn’t have stoped to this.
Why not then uss the concept of the revenant.

Saurian
Avian
There is no tranform but an “aura” and your pet is disabled (absob their power ( also reset weapon dmg multiplier to standard)
Its not a shroud its a stance that uses f5 to activate and absorb your pet that allows different effects of your glyphs. (just like it does with your CA)
Felines are condi related
Canines are mobility related
Saurians are damage related
Avians are cc related.
So same as the rev with 2 active legends the ranger will have 2 active different pets
P.s. elite would only work if select 4 types of pets are used. So if you have a pig equiped you would not have the f5 option to absorb.
Though i would still keep it staff but not healing related
Staff 1 dmg
Staff 2 aoe dmg
Staff 3 whisp movement (like it is now but with same cooldown and blink from mesmer)
Staff 4 aoe push back
Staff 5 self dome projectile reflect
