First off, I would like to ask a question to the devs since they are doing that Q&A thing.

If this is not where i’m supposed to post this, please let me know.

Q: While new pet groups are unlikely, are new ranger pet species coming for the ranger? ie: Tiger for the cats group, Scaled Drakes for the drake group, ect.

It kittenes me off that there are no Alpine Stalkers, Rock Drakes, or Coyotes.

I would want bears, brown bears to be specific.
Like really, why are there no brown bears

Screw new pets in the same family! I want a new family of pets! I want to wear a Beehive as a back item and use that for a pet! It doesn’t attack for much, but it always provides a constant stream of Torment

Its F2 could be that it throws out a bunch of Honeycombs on the ground, and you can pick them up curing a condition or something.

I want them to fix River Drakes so they look like ACTUAL River Drakes and not Rock Drakes. >.<

new family pets here i go

Dark Pheonix (also called imperial pheonix)
Type – pheonix
Size – about the same as moas their body isnt so much bigger then cat but their back tail is actualy quite long behind them
regular ability
1. talon strike – rend foe with a talon attack
2. Great dive – knockdown foes by diving into them (unlike regular birds pheonix are quite large enought to push foes to the ground)
3. Rebirth – The phoenix place a buff on a party member or on itself, if the target sustain lethal damage within 30 second it is healed back to 20% of its health (big cooldown)
4. Peck – Peck at the target and blind it
5. Swoop – deals a fair amount of damage
F2. Blaze – the next 5 attack the phoenix does cause burning

Rainbow Pheonix
Type – pheonix
Size – about the same as moas their body isnt so much bigger then cat but their back tail expend in a fan behind it effectively making it much larger on the overall
regular ability

2. Great dive – knockdown foes by diving into them (unlike regular birds pheonix are quite large enought to push foes to the ground)

5. Swoop – deals a fair amount of damage
F2. Healing Wish – the phoenix search and ressurect a downed party member within 1800 feet instantly (120 second cooldown)

We could use having monkey ape and gorrila but id definitively see a return of the white and red tiger as well as the crane (not a bird like pet but closer to the moa) the crabs (yes the crabs) the rats (yes rats especialy the Jahai rats wich was funny) and the pheonix wich was always a must have in guild wars 1 when it cames to anoying people in pvp by blocking the view with those colorfull feather (pheonix body block panic in a 5 v 5 party was uber funny as the huge birds would block all vision hehehehe still it was even funnyer when you had 5 BIG pheonix covering your screen and screaming around)

Jackalope pet. Must have one to go with mini… F2 skill “Burrow” (Burrows underground and avoids combat until activated. Invulnerable to all attacks while underground.) Ultimate pet solution for rangers wanting perma-stow. Cheers.

i was talking about getting pet removed from game by just hidding it in a hole -_-

If pets aren’t fixed, how about a Juvenile Gnat, so our crippled mechanic isn’t obvious to everyone else, and we don’t have to spam the stow key?

It’s a type of Bear though, but it could shine in its F2 special skill. Preferably something passive, like spiders and jaguar. I like the idea of a built-in Protect Me.

I would love to see a dragon pet! (A small one, the size of a moa bird).

Well that would actualy be called a faery-dragon or a pseudo-dragon wich in itself isnt actualy a real dragon.

Pudding, I absolutely love u’r idea about Moa sized Pygme Dragons!!!

I’d also love to have Griffons tamable.

Anyone else also want an Ooze pet?

Maybe, we could get a pet of a completely different family and model? Snake pets that spit at enemies?
One of the pets could be a Cobra, and its F2 spits several shots of blinding poison at foes.
Another could be an Anaconda that only attacks at close range, But Its F2 skill could be called Constrict, and it wraps around an enemy, fully immobilizing them until the enemy or player either uses a control effect to get the snake off, or they kill it?

Snake actualy is a good idea but the snake needs to actualy be large enought to be worthwhile. + the fact they so far have no actual snake model in the game save for critter you cant interact with doesnt help but hey lets see.

They used to have snake critters—I remember seeing them in the Queensdale swamp. I have no idea why or when they were removed, though.

didn’t read but new unlockable pet skins would be a lot easier and probably as satisfying
